I received my form letter yesterday.  It was wonderful just to see his handwriting.  He has only been away for eight days, but it seems much longer.  Looking forward to graduation.

Does anyone know when we should receive the packet on graduation?
Has anyone heard anything??

I haven't heard anything - no letter for over a week, no call for over a week and no packet on graduation (other than the info given in the "form" letter received a few days after my daughter left for boot.

Don't worry.  I am in the same boat.  No letter from Taylor this week, and no further notice from the Navy.  I know another young man who went through the program, and he said the division has to earn more calls etc., so his group only had 2 calls home and another had 6.  I do know the boys didn't test well as a group around the time of the calls home. and weren't completely working as a team unit yet, so this lack of communication might be a result of that.  Let's hope they learn their lessons quickly!

It makes me sad to hear that they are having a hard time.  BC is hard enough without this.  I am hoping for a letter today.  I think it is going to be a long three weeks for all of us.  I just have to keep praying and be postive. We are planning to arrive Wednesday night.  I do not want to chance not being there Friday morning.

I hope they can overcome all this and work together as a team.

Got 2 letters today!  He sounds good.  They got a few hours off for July 4th, and have started learning about the aspects of their next post.  My son wrote that he switched from above water to sub after hearing about the +/- of each.  He said they are becoming more of a team, and are starting to make friends with one another.  He is really homesick, but sounds really positive and good about what is going on.  At this point, I think these boys can see the end in sight.  I am so proud of all of them!
We received two also.  No big news. Just general stuff and wanting to know what is going on here.  I was hoping for graduation info.  He sounds happy and looking forward to A School. We leave in two weeks two days!!!
Received a phone call today from our SR.  I sure hope all the other 240 loved ones get a call today, too.  Looks like they will be doing Battlestations July 26/27 so make sure you are by the phone on Wed. July 27.  We are all so close to see our "Sailors" soon!!!
I got one also. He sounded great!! Only 1 week 1 day until we head that way. He said he would be calling again soon.
My son has only been in this division 7 days, but I'm glad to finally have a group to belong to again! I got a call today, too & I sooo was not expecing one since just called last Thurs to tell me he was fit for full duty. I'm so excited I can't stand it! He said he has made some friends in this division which makes me feel so much better- I know it was hard for him to be assigned a new division w/ only 2 weeks to go.

KC's mom- welcome aboard!  why was your son switched divisions?  did it delay his PIR date?  just wondering.  My has has not yet passed the run and is worried he might fall behind.  I know he can do it, but he is worried... Just wondering how that works.

I got a call too!

FYI all- there are some new discussion topics about PIR, battlestations, etc, so look at the forum page, or the mail page to this discussion.  I always just use the link provided for updates, so I never noticed the new stuff before

Dani- my son broke hid right foot 17 days before graduation & was in a place called RCU for the past 6 weels. Its a division for all the SRs w/ injuries / broken bones. His PIR date was 6/17. He was miserable in RCU. A lot of people get sent home from there- he was told he would be there 8 to 10 weeks but he healed in 6 weeks. So, I am soooo excited to see my son- in fact I even broke my same foot 5 days after him so we went through it all together. Anyway, he's been there since April & he said just a few days ago the Navy allowed 15 seconds on to the timed run. For his age it was 12min 15sec and now it is 12m30s. I hope that helps your son. He also told me none of them count until the final run which he said will be 7/22. I also know that after the final run, they are still given another chance to run it right before PIR. If they fail, the stay in the FIT division (which was right next to my sons RCU). They work w/ them to help them pass. Sorry for rambling!!!
