(div 11 ship 244) My SR just found out that he is going across the street to A school and he went in without a job assigned to him. He states that the winds there are really bad  O.K. compared to Arizona where it only blows the tumble weeds away, but he said it was pulling the flag right out of the gromets so that's pretty strong. He is so looking forward to graduation and being able to use his cell phone again. Everyone goes by their last name so he was clueless when I asked him if he knew any of the other guys when I named a few. There div. is doing great and had there petty officer tell them what a great job they are doing. 8/5 is coming finally!

maybe it is just our Yeoman my SR says it depends what is available and how well they do in school . Guess we will see.
I found a good questionaire! I am sending my SR.  I wanted to share it with you.  My son always writes in such a hurry and tries to remember what I have asked him and never remembers and says, "Got to go mom, not much time."  I will post his answers when I get the questionaire back!!!!

Div. 244 beat their brother div. 243. We only got 5 violation, where as they got 34 violations. Way to go div. 244. Petty officer said they were the best he's seen so far. So proud of my SR and his div.

I was looking for Wed  to get a letter but it came to day one page but that one had a hold week . he said he has been so busy he did not have time. it was HELL WEEK  some of the test like 60 pushups,60 situps in 2 min.and1 1/2 mile run in 12 min. 15 people did not pass:(  The good news is is that the DIV. had a drill inspection and beat out the other DIV the highest you can get is 5.0 and  Ship 11 Div 244 had 4.81 he also said that they took pictures today so by the letter that was THURSDAY. he said everytime they do something GOOD they get a FLAG so this week they have earned 3

THAT IS FANTASTIC!!! thanks for sharing the news.  I am happy for the Div.

That is awesome!

Hey Damaris and sistersue, thanks for the updates. I also got some of the same news from my SR today. I had not heard about the flags, but that is great news.  I pray that they can all support each other and continue to press on to the finish.  Aug 5th cant come soon enough.  He is asking for news on sports and world events, so I think he is in a good place mentally and physically since he also did well this week.

Bsteele - I sent a questionaire a few weeks ago but still have not recieved it.  I think our SRs are getting to write more often, since I got a letter earlier than I expected this week. I am very greatful for any communication from our div.

I have received 2 letters this weekend.  My SR told me that they now have 6 flags and are doing well.  He mentioned that he might get a call this past weekend, but we did not hear from him.  I noticed on facebook that several SR's were calling today.  I am not sure of the division.  He told me that they have been to the shooting range and did really well.  He said they passed drill.  I get the same short letters as everyone else.  I would love more details.  I am going to send the questionaire that was posted by bsteele maybe I will get some answers.  I was one that missed the 3 week phone call so I have been praying very hard for a phone call.  17 more days will not happen fast enough.  I have heard he is leaving on Saturday after graduation for Pensacola.  Not much time to visit.  Thank you so much for all of the post.  They have kept me going.  I think God is tired of me begging for a call.

If he is tired of you begging I he probably has cotton in his ears for me. I pray and beg and tell my phone to ring and be my SR. lol So glad to know i am not alone.

Thanks ladies for the updates makes me feel closer  to my SR.

Marcie, They passed the drill. I wonder if that is the BS 21 drill! It cant be, right? I heard they get to call immediatley after it is over to tell us they are now a sailor.  Our kids will be together in Pensacola!

He did not mean Battlestation.  He was talking about hell week.  I believe that will be next week.  Does anyone know what day?  I have been told they normally start on Thursday.  Sorry I could not be more help.

Is your son in aviation?
