Looking for anyone else that has someone in Ship02Div942 - received form letter and the 3 sentences from my son!!

I got my first letter today, too!!!  Of course it would make me cry like a baby!!!  He says that the PT isn't as bad as he thought it was going to be, but the staying awake part is.  He says he nods off every time they tell them to study, which is alot apparently.  He said, "I'm in a 900 division...which evidently is a pretty big deal," that part made me laugh!  He didn't know anything about the performing division before he left, so he was kind of surprised!  I just feel so much better now that I've heard from him...I hope the letters continue to come now that they've started!!  Hurry up Sept. 1st!!!!
Did he mention how he was picked for this Div or what his "job" is?

No, he didn't say anything about it...except that he will be performing at their graduation and other graduations...which I already knew :)  but that was a specific question that I asked him in the letter I mailed Monday.

I didn't receive anything today :( so hopefully tomorrow I get a letter from my son!! (Oh please let me receive it) - Not sure who wants it more his father or me!! LOL  Thanks for sharing Missyssailor and Ash - glad everyone is doing great.
You're welcome!!  I hope everyone starts receiving letters soon!  It really made me feel better...at least I know he's still alive! haha!  But I only live about 6 hours away and in Illinois...so I'm not expecting to have to wait too terribly long for letters.  It was dated the 15th and, at that time, he was making it sound like their RDCs weren't even talking to them about sending letters home yet.  So I'm not exactly sure when it was actually mailed.  I'm sure you will be getting one soon :)  But, let me tell you...one just isn't enough!!  Like I said, now that I've received one, I want them to keep on coming!!! :)
Hello everyone!! I received my first letter from my son!!!  OMG I cried my eyes out - I have already read it 3 times.  Did anyone experience that?  LOL  I was so disappointed that he didn't receive any of my letters - ughh.   Thanks for listening and I hope everyone has received or will receive their letter today!!
OMG, yes!!  I read mine AT LEAST 3 times yesterday and once today!  I'll probably read it every day until I get another LOL!
I got my letter too!!! I thought I was going to be a sobbing mess, but he sounded so upbeat, the tears never came.  He said they are an all male division. That will help when playing "Where's Waldo" with the pics. LOL I think his favorite part is the milk machine.
We all need to tell our SRs to tell us what their RDC looks like, where they march at and what kind of flags they're carrying...that way we know more of what to look for in the pictures!!  If you ever think you see your SR in any, be sure to let me know!!  :)
My SR had not received any of our letters either at the time he wrote his. It kills me that he doesn't know that our letters where already on the way. But by now I'm sure they have gotten at least some of them so the next letter he sends should be more informational.
Missyssailor - Thank you - I wanted to make sure my SR wasn't the only one that didn't receive any letters especially since I have been writing ever day!!  He said their division is special and he has a surprise for us at graduation but wouldn't say what!!  Sept 1st can't come soon enough - I usually dont wish the summer away but I really am anxious to see him and the others.  Are you or is anyone else considering on purchasing the PIR Ribbons?  I am going too - they are really nice.  Let me know.
Towermom- I do want to order the Ribbons. I wonder how much longer for the phone call. My phone is attached to me all the time. Did you say if your SR is going to FL for A school?
