My husband left on 7/13/11. I haven't heard from him since the 14th when he was calling to tell me he made it Chicago. Does anyone know when I'll get a phone call or a letter from him?

Hi Illysha, my boyfriend left on the 12th. Have you received his box and form letter? They should have been able to start writing letters yesterday so you should get one this week! (At least that's what I'm hoping!) As far as phone calls, I was told they usually get a 3 week phone call but it can get taken away for various reasons so not to expect it.
I got the box last Tues but no form letter yet :( I've been writing him everyday for the past week and a half so he'll have lots of letters. I just really wanna hear from him. It's KILLING me!
We haven't gotten the form letter yet either it's been bothering me too and making me worry! Have you tried contacting his recruiter? That's how I got my bf's address. They should have it by now. Trust me I am dying to hear from my bf too, this is the worst! I've been hearing that it gets easier so I'm just waiting for that....
Yea I got the address from his recruiter last week. I've been writing him everyday since! I'm just trying to figure out the PIR date and I've heard that the recruit is allowed to write a message at the end of the form letter. Gosh I just hope it gets easier soon!
What division is he in? His PIR group may have already been formed. I've been writing him every day too, I hope he doesn't think I have no life now that he's gone haha! Yes the recruit is allowed to write a short message, I think just a couple of lines though. I hope you get your form letter soon, and let's keep out fingers crossed that we both get REAL letters this week!

He's on 03/299! Yes I hope we do get reall letters this week. I've been STALKING the mailman waiting something from him haha!

Your PIR will be 9/9... look for the PIR group it's already been formed, there's other moms and wives from your husband's division on there as well! We will be at PIR together, although my bf is in division 291!

That's the link to the PIR group! There are discussions set up for each division and their brother division so you can get to know the other loved one's who have SR's in your husband's division!

Thank you very much!

You're welcome!  I hope you meet some people in his division! -If not, at least we'll be at PIR together!

it will get a little easier when they start coming to you. He has 5 lines to write on and the back page if he wants. :)
That's awesome! The part about the letters that is. HAHA. Thank you so very much. This was very helpful.
