Hi!

I will be moving to Charleston in 3 weeks with my husband!!! How is it down there?

I've gotten used to it pretty quickly!! Goose Creek isn't anything special.  Being on base is kind of nice and convenient :)  But you're just five minutes away from North Charleston, which has a lot of shopping and food, and about twenty minutes away from the beach.  We drove to the beach Saturday, and it was AWESOME!! :)  I have yet to go to the actual city of Charleston.. I'm a bit to new to explore by myself.  LOL if you're living in on base housing it's older but still REALLY nice! We have a three bedroom house!!  I just got spoiled last week, he was home by three everyday and he classed up so now starts his 12-14 hour days.  We've gone out to eat at some really good places! I am very happy to be here :)
Thats sounds wonderful!! My husband has only 18 more days in boot camp, and i still haven't received a phone call from him :(. This is so hard, but im glad the housing is nice and i cant wait to move!! What was the first week like? Can he leave the base?
Last week was my first week! On the weekends, they can leave base from day 1. Weekdays they're confined to base, but the base has a grocery store, a NEX (another place to shop) a couple places to eat, a bowling alley and movie theater.  So it's not too bad being confined to base during the week, but you can go wherever you want! A few times I drove down the road just a minute or two and there's more food choices, etc.  He was there for several days before they gave him leave to come home and move me. When we got back he was home by three everyday for the first week.  I don't know what time he'll be home this week! But we had an awesome weekend together :)  And I'm sorry you haven't received a phone call.. that's crazy!! But you can do it, it's all worth it in the end.  In about three weeks you'll get to go to bed with him by your side every night! :D
Thanks for the info! and i cant wait to see him :)
