Any suggestions on does and donts when sending my husband things while he is in boot camp?

Don't send any food it will get taken away & he'll get punished. Don't send anything noisy or too lumpy. Use plain white envelopes don't decorate them. I've been sending mine news articles, where's waldo games, there's a website where you can create your own crossword puzzles, you can send pics but the letter will get opened & they'll get checked for content. Some people suggest just printing pictures on plain white paper & write your letters around the pictures.
That was the exact reason that I was asking was because I thought about spraying his letter as well but if it will get him in trouble then I won't =(
He won't get introuble for scented letters... he may get called out/made fun of (which is probably a stress he would like to avoid) but that's it.

They will not open his letters or make him read them aloud. If the envelope is really thick/bulky they will screen it for contraband

The suggestion for printing pictures and writing the letter around it is the best. Remember that you SR doesn't have much space to keep personal things, so the more u send the more chances for him to get a hit on his inspections.

The cross word is a fun thing to send (if he has time). I know others have made little surveys with questions about your relationship favorite memories etc. It's a good way to have him write to u (which he would be doing anyway) as well as take his mind off of the navy for a little while
So when I finally get his address would it be best to send all his letters I have for him at once or individually?

You can send them all at once... my boyfriend told me that their first mail call, he got about 10 letters at once, it was "by far the most in the division" and it made him feel "really awesome" :) so he'll like it! (And everyone else will be jealous!!)

Oh yeah nicole reminded me... They have these "boot camp" surveys with questions about boot camp... Good to send if he is ever too tired to write or doesn't have much time, he can just fill one out. I'm on my phone but when I get to work I'll find the link to them and post it here. My boyfriend really likes those!
Yeah scented letters are fine :) And I wouldn't recommend the Where's Waldo or Crosswords, because although my boyfriend loves those, they barely have time to write us letters, much less do a puzzle! I have done the survey thing and we've mailed those back and forth, he made one for me too. He really liked those because the father into boot camp they go the less they have time to write. That way he could just fill in the blanks and send it back to me when he didn't have any time to write out a whole letter. Just remember how pressed time is for them!
Yeah whenever you get the chance I would love to have the link =)

There are two... You can always modify them or add to them! Also, they do get about 6 or 7 hours on Sundays to do whatever they want, so that's when they usually have time to do the crosswords/where's waldo/etc.

Uhhh wait sooo the letters i send my SR are like always different colors like the other day i sent a letter and the paper/envelopes were green, then another day i sent one bluee and then another one was pink and i'm always scenting mine!? Omg i hope he's not getting picked on or anything i'll feel horrible
If u haven't got an bad feedback from ur guy, I'm sure he's fine with it.

haha. I did that when my guy was in boot. :) He never had a problem with it. He actually loved it because as soon as the mail stack was pulled out, he knew exactly how many letters he had. And how much I still loved him. He said the only reason he ever got crap was because the guys were jealous of how much mail he got! :)

If he doesn't say anything about it, I'm sure it's okay. If you're worried, just ask.
