Thanks for the well wishes everyone!

Swim: DM thinks that the A school graduation for 1133 is October 28, 2011.  That is a Friday and it is my understanding that all the graduations are Friday. He thinks he will get to come home later that day until aprox Nov 8 and prob again at Christmas time.  I hope that is all correct.  I also hear that the A school graduation may not be as much of an "event" to attend as the B school graduation, but would be nice to go.  I'm not sure if I will be able to attend, but would like to. Let me know if you hear anything additional or different. Thanks.

OMGOSH...Class 1133 is 1/2 way done with A School!!!  I guess they're

having a big party to celebrate tonight.  WAY TO GO, class!  Hope the next 3 months

goes even faster.  Can't wait to see my sailor again, even though it's only been since 4th of July...

Yes, I also heard from DM and he told me about the 1/2 way celebration today.  He said they got out of class early and went to the beach.  He has 2 friends from home traveling down there next weekend and is looking forward to that. I may try to go down Labor Day weekend, but have a new job :/ and can't get away except for the 3 day weekend right now....that will be a quick trip due to the distance (9 hour drive), but thinking I might try it anyway.

Hi Linda!

you are very welcome here...sometime soon they will assign your daughter a class number.  Right now her address is      SN Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial

                     NFAS INDOCTRINATION DIVISION

                     101 NNPTC CIRCLE

                      GOOSE CREEK, SC

                     29445-6324

the line with NFAS INDOC. DIV will change to her class number.  It may be best to wait until next week when she has a class number to send mail....so it doesn't get lost.

best wishes to you and your dtr. as you start the Nuke journey!  :)

Welcome to Nuke Moms, Linda!  And congratulations on your daughter's recent PIR.  That was an awesome thing to see, wasn't it?

There's also a separate discussion about what to expect when your child arrives in GC. It was started a while back but most of the information still apply.  And of course, if you hang out with us, you will learn much more than you probably would want to know.  LOL.

Woohoo!  My MM graduated from A school this morning...with honors, no less!  (i'm allowed to brag a bit, aren't I?  :-) )

Was feeling so out of it when I woke up this morning. Then saw a message from a friend saying she took pictures at the graduation and I was up and off like a bolt!  Needless to say, the rest of day  went happily ever after.  LOL.  My kid's going to be home tomorrow...can hardly contain myself!

omgosh, Congrats to you and your son!  that's awesome!

Enjoy the time that he's home...you'll probably be checking on him even when he's asleep just to

remind you that he's REALLY there!  :)

Post some pics of graduation if you can get copies as .jpg...would love to see them!

So happy for you, Maddie...now you can breathe for awhile!

Thanks, swim!  Here's some photos...   A School graduation    I'll be looking at these all night... (and you're right, I'll probably be peeking into his room so often, i'll creep him out.  lol.
Nice picture.  Congratulations!
awesome picture.  They are all so handsome..and so serious!

I hope the other two don't mind being included in the photo :)  These three were the Honormen for MM, ET and EM.
