Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hang in there wamom...maybe tomorrow you will get one. I hope you do. Couldn't agree with you more. This is by far the hardest thing I have had to go thru! I'm here if you need to talk.
not sure how you are with your SR recruiter, but i had plenty of time to bond with mine. since there where so many recruits going through hell and getting discharged, Even though I seem to be getting mail pretty frequentyly now I call the recruiter at least once a week and have him check to see where my son is. He can't tell you exactly where he is but he can access the system to make sure he is still on ship 7 where he should be. Just a thought for you to help ease your mind on those really long days. PM if you need to talk. I'm praying for you and all the SR
I actually just talked to his recruiter yesterday. It does help that is for sure.  My son gone way above my expectations as far as mail so I have been very fortunate. Hopefully Wamom will get her letter today. I know it always helps me. Keeping all of our SR's in my prayers as well.
can't wait to meet everybody. Am keeping all of our love ones in prayer.

OMG that is awesome wamom!!!!! I am sooo happy for you! Let me know if you find that website please! That would be awesome to see ! I got a letter yesterday. I just ordered my DIV t-shirt a couple of days ago and in my son's letter he said he ordered me one LOL. Love that boy to pieces.

We have been looking but no luck so far :/
I was shocked LOL! They told me they ship them the week before PIR so we should have them in plenty of time.
wait now i gotta get in on this too...lol
