My son is leaving for bootcamp November 15, 2011, but was originally scheduled for July 7, 2011.  He tested for Nuke and passed so his ship date was pushed out.  Our sons may be in the same class...as for the recruiter preparing them now, he goes to the office about twice a month and they go over things like how to salute, the Navy creed, etc.  Physical Training PT just started up again.  My son has been keeping physically fit on his own so he is ready to handle bootcamp.  Good luck luck to you and your son.

My son also leaves Nov 10.  We live in Oklahoma and his rating is IS.  He is so excited.  His recruiter has him coming in every two weeks for mentoring where they go over all the memory work he needs to have completed.  Once a month they have DEP meetings.  Also he is doing a lot of reading and just now started some running and push ups.  We are all so proud and it is good to meet other Navy families.

My son leaves out on Nov. 2nd. He is AO. Goes to Pensacola Fl after RTC.

My boyfriend leaves for boot camp on November 3rd. Thanks to his test scores, he will be a NUKE! I'm super proud of him! Right now he is working on losing weight and getting in shape. He started out at 240 and is already down to 220! They say his ideal weight is 206 (pretty sure he's gonna look like a shrimp soon!) Aside from that, he's working on memorizing all of the information needed for boot camp. (He's not trying as hard with this... Haha.) This Saturday there is actually a "Captain's Cup" at the local Air Force base where his DEP program will compete against others in the area.. It tests their Navy knowledge and there are also some physical tests. There must be a "Captain's Cup" during boot camp, as well.

Does anyone have the schedule yet for those that are leaving in Nov. I am wondering how the holidays will be affecting their graduation date?

My husband leaves for bootcamp November 14,2011.He is AM,He will be going to Pensacola,FL after RTC.

It is a nice area...Its beach life surrounded by the city...lots of stuff happens on the beaches there. Concerts, festivals, and so on. Hope he likes it, and does well in school..
when is your loved one leaving for RTC?
My daughter leaves for bc Nov 8...We are in the Florida area...Crestveiw to be exact. It is a little country town growing by the minute. Pensacola is about two hours away from us. I would like her to find a date sooner than the Nov one so she could be home for the holdiays. However, from our area is does not seem to be possible. Owell.. she will leave soon enouph as it is.
My son leaves November 8th/9th.  We're in central Illinois so on the 8th he goes south to St Louis where MEPS is and on the 9th they take him north to Great Lakes.  His A school is in Great Lakes so we may be able to see him from time to time then, which will be nice.

We're from central IL too!  My son leaves Nov 15th.

that is sooo cool that you might get to see him during school.  and its crazy you have to go all the way to St Louis for MEPS.. my son reports on the 8th. they may be in the same div.  then he flys to San Diego for school after PIR. we live in south central kentucky.
