Bobbymom, We did not receive one today.  Only 1 call so far about 2 weeks ago.  We did receive a letter today and he sounded great.  This is a very busy week for them. He said that they had started practicing for PIR.  Can't wait!
That is soooo good.  Was this your first call?  I'm so glad he was in good spirits.  I'm so glad we are getting so close!
No call.
no cal lhere either.  Why is it harder now then when they first left...I am really struggling.
Me too!  Just keep looking at the countdown ladies... Our turn in coming soon!  I imagine they are really struggling to.  Keep the cards and letters going to them and their spirits up!

Well I call from my SR.  LOL maybe I should be emotional an complain more about not hearing anything.  With in an hour of my last post my phone rang.

I'm a bit stressed, seems there may be the possibility that he's going to be sent back.  he's been sick, had an ear infection and there were problems when they pulled his wisdom teeth so he's worried about passing his final PT, but more importantly he hasn't learned yet (really?) to keep his mouth SHUT.  He says he finds out tomorow.

With a little over 2 wks to go I am praying that he'll be able to call me as soon as he knows what's going on so I have time to change all the reservations and the plane tix.

I got a call from my SR at 4PM. They got their second immunizations today and had their pictures made in the dress whites. It was very upbeat and positive.

Has anyone reserved rooms at the Navy Lodge?  that's where we will hopefully be in 2 wks.

We are staying at the Residence Inn.  Have you heard if your SR is going to graduate?  Remember, no news is good news!
Heard that SR got orders for A school, leaving the day after PIR.

Haven't heard anything yet.  But the funny thing, as I have been setting here stewing about the whole thing, is that he told me he has recieved his orders for A School, but 10 days after PIR.  has anyone ever heard of that?  Shipping off to A school 10 days after PIR?  He's a corpsman, any other corpsman moms here?

So frustrating, it's not like when he was in school and I could e-mail his teacher to get a straight answer as to what is REALLY going on.

My son is in the same division. When he talked to my husband yesterday-he said he was a grad and go, leaving either Thurs or Friday. That he would not start A school for 11-12 days. His A school is in Virginia--culinary school. Said there was not room at Great Lakes so he had to do his waiting at the Virginia location. I'm not sure if he's got it right or not, he has never been good with details...
