We just found out that our son is graduating on Sept 16th.  He is on Ship 12 Div 312.  I just wanted to know if there are any other moms that have a kid in this Div. or another one who is graduating on this day.

Also I was wondering when would we know if the date of graduation would change.  Well actually is there a date (a week before?) that they were graduating on that day.

my son is in div 304 and is graduating the same day!!  I'm planning on driving from VA to see him graduate.  My son's recruiter said it will not change as long as he passes everything required.

We live in AZ and being told to buy a refundable airline ticket.  There are some great deals on flights (of course non refundable) with the price of a refundable ticket being $950 per person.  We are considering taking the chance and buying the non-refundable tickets ($543 for 3 of us).  We are trying to hold out as long as possible buying the plane tickets.
any suggestions of where to stay? == preferably one that offers a shuttle to the base

I just changed reservation on 1 airline ticket for our younger son (he is not in the Navy). I made the original reservation several weeks ago but his work schedule changed so he is coming home to visit one week later. The original cost of the ticket was $557. I called customer service and was able to switch the days and was able to select one for departure and another for return (you know how they group the flights - I was able to select the return from a different grouping). The change cost $50 for making the change, another $50 for airline fee and the difference in the flight charges (which was slightly more). The total came to $100.60 (for one person).  I used CheapTickets.com

My fiance will be graduating that day, and he his also in the same division! We are planning on driving down there, according to his mother its alot cheaper, 3 days in advance.

GREAT!!!!  I made reservations at the Ramada Inn.  I freind of mines husband was stationed there-- she suggested it-- said in good part of town and there are resturants close by.  Where are you coming from?  Well please keep in touch.

We are coming in from Grand Island Nebraska so it will be quiet a drive! And I heard the Ramada Inn (probably the one you are talking about) was a VERY nice place to go. I will have to suggest it!
My son is also Ship 12 Div 312!  Have you received an actual letter yet?  We have not, and it has been a long two weeks!
