02/944  Letter #3 came today!  Written on 14th.  They got 6 hours of free time on Sunday to clean bunks, take nice LONG shower, polish shoes and write letters.  The past week has been filled with studies and inspections.  On 8th they held personal inspections and she got a perfect (ALRIGHT!).  On 10th they took the first of three tests (she passed) and also had a compartment inspection where their bunks and compartments were totally gone through.  She does not know yet if they passed inspection (as a division) but she said personally she did not get many dings on her's so that's good.  Every other day is PT indoors and it's a LOT OF RUNNING!  Says they still suck as a division and they are still getting lots of IT.  Says she is getting in terrific shape but doesn't like they are having to do it due to others.  She found out that parents/visitors for the 900's get seated close to the head honchos to see their Sailors perform.  She drew me a diagram.  The head honchos are in the middle and the 900's are seated to the right section (if you are standing in front looking at them).  They got dog tags not too long ago and says now it's noisey at night when people are sleeping and moving around (clink clink).  She says boot camp is going by fast for everyone.  The days feel long but the weeks go fast.  Her last line is, "Wish me the best of luck and I will try my hardest to become a kick-ass Sailor."    God, I love my SR!
Soo cool, thanks for sharing.
What is a Triple Threat?

Awesome, got letter today as well. He got in trouble for blanket and did 40 min extra (lol)

He said it wasn't too bad. His letters are mostly about drilling. Hope they get to call soon

I couldn't wait to get him out in the world, but need to hear his voice this week.

blanket?

What's that?

Cool, looking forward to meeting you and you son
So happy for Anita and Kimmie!
:-)   Thanks, Cindy!
Got a letter today!  He sounds good.  Did say that my Lasagna was much better than the Navys and he missed my cooking.  Its not that the food is bad but mine was just better.  That made me smile.  Said he was adjusting well.  He sounds very postive and said to keep writing.  I figured by now after almost a daily letter and sometimes a bonus card from me he would be tired of it.
Pennie ~ my guess would be we could be sending them ten pieces of mail a day and they would never turn a bit down.  You have to feel for the ones that don't have a support system at home...almost wish there was a way to write "ghost letters" to those that do not get mail to support them on their path.
