My husband left on August 4th, I got the form letter on Monday and his graduation is Sept 30th. I still haven't received a letter or call but I have sent out plenty of letters for him. I am actually doing ok, a lot better than I thought I would, still haven't cried. Our son is 11 months so its hard to see his behavior change now that daddy is not around everyday, hopefully it blows over. Super excited to see him at graduation! Anyone else have hubbys in the same division and graduation date?

Hey, my husband is RPOC (Recruit Petty Officer) over this div, you wont get a letter till next week and it may still be a few more weeks till you get a call, they had a late start and you should be getting paperwork soon. Keep your head up, they get to write Sunday so soon :)
Do you mean the form letter or other paperwork, I already got the form letter. Thank you much for the info, although knowing I won't get a phone call for weeks after he told me 3 weeks is a little disheartening :-(
I mean the DEERs paperwork so you can get your ID and health care. You are welcome, I know if I were in your position I would want to to know what is going on. It is hard without the phone call, I know you have your baby so that must make it harder, I'm 25 weeks pregnant and on edge. I can't tell you when exactly out guys will get a call, it depends on a lot of different variables. Just write him every day if you can because they are getting mail by now and like I said Sunday they will be able to write so next week just keep an eye on the mailbox and try to stay positive, I know it isn't easy....but they are doing that they can, we have to do the same so they don't worry about us too much.
Thanks! I am just confused why other wives in my husbands division have received phone calls? I know I will be ok without the calls, just wondering why :-(
My husband called because he has a security clearance and had to get more information on his family and that is why I got my call at least. Just remember...this week we should be getting letters. The entire things is just so delightfully confusing but with each of us having some info hopefully we can all put it together. If you have a facebook, this goes for both of you, if you haven't already join http://www.facebook.com/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand and http://www.facebook.com/#!/topic.php?uid=324592704650&topic=18949
Thanks again, my husband has security clearance as well because he is a yoeman. You are right, with all of us sharing our info we will be a group of super wives :-)

You are welcome =)

My husband has like a million siblings that he doesn't know anything about and when that is the case they have to get all the info they can so that is what the call was about. Maybe if yours forgets something...one can hope =) and the links that I gave are for where our men are at and more people who have loved ones (mainly sons I've noticed) and can help support each other.

Again thank you so much!! well he only has 2 siblings, good thing it wasn't me who joined the Navy, I have 11 siblings!! Yea I don't see many wives, my husband is older (26 almost 27) Well I wil watch the mail box and continue to write as often as I can

Yeah everything I've heard from anyone who has been through rtc has said that letters are what got them through and just remember you can take pictures of you and the little one for him, I'm sure that will mean the world to him =)

Heh yeah that is crazy, be happy it wasn't you because there is paperwork for everything and everyone >./p>

Ah okay, yeah my husband just turned 19, I kinda robbed the craddle =D

Awesome, It's nice to talk to someone who is with my husband, guess I'll see you at the graduation! We have 2 cats as well and our 11 month old son. I have written him a handful of letters and sent Hockey articles along with a few other articles to keep him up to date on the world :-) I work full time and and am a full time mommy so sitting down and writing a letter is a lot harder than it would seem. I try to write when I am at work (typed letters) so I can write a few lines here and there between my workload, if I handwrite at work I'l get caught!
