Hi Regina, how are you doing?  Can you belive that boot camp is almost over?  How is your son doing?
txmom- We are doing good, you?  Got a call from our son on the 13th he sounded great.  No I can't believe boot camp is almost over, but glad that it is. I have a very busy week at work, so that will help the go by faster.
In the phone call from our SR last Saturday, our SR said to not expect a letter during the week.  I checked with his girlfriend over the weekend and she told me that she had received no letters also. (She receives about 6.5 letters for every letter we get.) So, I'm thinking that the 819 is doing what they are suppose to do....working hard and following orders. I miss my SR very much too, but I just keep saying to myself....PIR is just around the corner!
Just printed off  my gate pass! Only 10 more days to go! Hope they go fast. Is anybody else staying at hotel indigo?
No letters for me either! His girlfriend did receive one letter last Friday. He had also told me on the phone that he would probably not write. He said that he would be using his time to study.
They usually stop writing about 10 days from PIR, so if the letters have stopped that may be why.
7 more days I am kind of confused. made reservation at Ramada and lately made at Residence inn. What make me have double thought about Ramada is the reviews about old and smelly, I am concern because my little one suffers from Allergies and he can get cough and stuffy nose if the place is not too clean and has that old muldy smell. So I made a second reservation at Residence Inn but the price came higher because the first day Wed they charge me full price , no navy discount. they told me that navy discount start on Sept. 1. Does any one knows about it and have more info about the Ramada?
We too are staying at the Residence Inn.  My oldest son (not my SR) did the motel/hotel research for the PIR trip. He said that from what he read the Residence Inn was well located, had shuttle service that could be ordered to the base for PIR, got good reviews, and had the type of rooms that we wanted.  We are also paying full price for the first night and the reduced Navy rate for every night after.  Its hard to believe, but we will be leaving for PIR one week from today!!!
Yes thanks for the info. I like it because has full kitchen and probably my son will like us to cook some home meal. I was thinking about the same, within a week at this time we should be in Chicago Our flight leaves at 400 pm Can wait. !!!!!!
Recieved 3 letters today! My SR said not to send anymore mail after today he won't get it. His letter also stated it is a very busy week they had gas chamber yesterday.
did anyone get a phone call today.........  I thought I read that today (wednesday they were getting another phone call to make.  I've been waiting all day..........  still waiting.
