Just starting to get this information out - We will be scheduling a meet and greet on Thursday October 6th for all the familes of the PIR group for 10/7.  Keep an eye out for the event invite.  I'm just waiting to get a little more information on a couple of things before I schedule it for sure and send invites, but wanted to let everyone know about it early.  It will be a great way for us to meet each other.  Hope to see everyone there!

.... and hope to see some moms join this discussion soon!  :-)

My son is ship 09 DIV 338.  I think that will be awesome to meet some of the families of the people my son has been training with.    I am new to the military life so I don't know how all this works, will they be stationed with the same people as well?

This has been a very long week and a half.  I am ready for a real letter or phone call.  Excited and cant wait to see how he is doing!!

I feel for you! And I'm ready for some real news as well!  From what I've seen in others' comments about their SR's first remarks, this sounds like a pretty good group!  You asked me earlier about my SR - he is 20 and is very excited to be at BC.  There is a good explanation here on the site regarding the mail process, perhaps you've already seen it.  Right now I'm just thinking of things to send every day!

Take care

hi there if everything holds true my son will walk div 338 hello everybody

Welcome, what ship is your son on?  This is the only pair of Brother Divisions that we haven't confirmed the Ship for to update the Page on Ships.  Thanks.  BTW, you are right, N4M has better info than Navy Dads.  Every once in a while though they do have something good.

i believe it is the John F kennedy. If i understand everything ok

Hi everyone!  Just received my SR's letter  - he is Ship 9 Div 338.  He must have refused to sing, or wasn't paying attention when that subject was broached!  Anyway, it's a pleasure to be here.  The note was cute - to know that he has to write in all caps is hilarious to me, since he has LOUSY handwriting anyway!

Have a great afternoon - I'm going to get some letters out in the late mail today!

My son is in Ship 9 Div 338 look forward to getting to know u
Hi, I just received the form letter and my son is on Ship 09 Division 337.  I was so excited to see the letter in the mail.  It seems like the longest week ever.  Look forward to meeting all of the recruits and families in just a few weeks!
My son is also Ship 09 Div 337.  It has been the longest week ever, so glad to have an address now to write to him.
My fiancee is also on Ship 9 Div 337. I really look forward to getting to meet you all.
Good evening!!  My stepson is 3/335, and PIR October 7.  We have all 4 spots filled, and I'm going on standbye.. hoping to be able to get into the actual ceremony.  If you happen to know of any SR with 1 extra spot that they might be willing to put me on their list... please let me know!  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
