We are looking at hotels, Does anyone know if it is possible to book navy lodge?

Hi Micka - I really don't know, but there is a great page with lots of information about PIR including lodging.  Perhaps a browse through that will be helpful in answering your question.  Sorry I don't have more for your right now.

I actually was able to book at Navy Lodge.  Totally thrilled about that!!

Thanks for the info!!!

Just starting to get this information out - We will be scheduling a meet and greet on Thursday October 6th for all the familes of the PIR group for 10/7.  Keep an eye out for the event invite.  I'm just waiting to get a little more information on a couple of things before I schedule it for sure and send invites, but wanted to let everyone know about it early.  It will be a great way for us to meet each other.  Hope to see everyone there!

My husband and I would love to be there, and meet everyone.  We'll keep an eye out for more details...Thank you!!

I can't wait to meet all the other moms/dads!!!  Should be a good time

GCFMom - perhaps you can book through Sunday, and then wait to see what you SR tells you as far as what to expect.  Rooms are pretty easy to let go, but flights are harder so if you are flying make sure you get the insurance that lets you change your ticket for no cost.

my grandson is in ship 9 div 329 -  tell me more about that insurance

I booked thurs to sun.  I wanted sat to be available just in case he does not leave.   The lady at Navy Lodge said they are very flexible.
So very happy.  Just got a letter from our SR, ship 329.  Two full pages.  Had to laugh at how nice the writing on the envelope looked and then the writing in the letter was what we are really used to!  :)  He sounds good, said he gained weight during P week and looking forward to PT.  Love hearing from him.  43 days can't come fast enough for this family.

Oh this gives me hope that the letter will be soon.  The 3 lines we got on the form letter was nice but I need more.  Thanks for posting.

My son is in DIV 330.  I am going nuts missing him and counting the days until 10/7/11.  I would love to get to know other families in the same situation and this is my first day on this site. I will post a pic as soon as I get home from work.
