I'm looking into the Navy Lodge as well, hopefully will be able to book in the next few days :)
He just wrote in 3 names.  He figured I wouldn't put my husband and ex-husband together, but I would do anything to see him.  Sucking it up for a few days is no problem!!!  He has until the week before to add names.
raykesmom... I'm "in the same boat".  But I don't think we have to sit together.  I need to figure out what the deal is with the parking permit. I guess we get one of those & one of us gets it. We'll have to figure that out. My son only put my name on it.  He clearly understood who he was to list, Mom, StepDad, Brother & Dad.  I'm hoping he goes back & adds the other 3 names. If not... I'll do my best to get my husband and my other son at the front of the line!!
lol!  Okay, if you want a good laugh... I remarried last year and my ex does not know because no one wanted to tell him.  He knows about my husband, but I think he thinks we are just together.  Anyway, knowing that we would only have two days there, I asked if he was okay bringing G (first letter of hubby's name) with me, and he said no problem.  We are now ALL riding to the airport together, flying on the SAME plane a row apart AND sharing the rent car!!!  If I don't make it back, you know where to start looking...  lol!!

oh... yuck!!  I wouldn't be able to do that.  We're already starting the "push/pull" of who gets to spend what time with my SR & other son while we're there.

But I'm on "both ends" of this dilemna, too.  My step son leaves for Marine bootcamp next week.  So I'm also dealing with my husband's ex-wife on that side, too.

Are we gluttons for punishment or what?  lol!  Well, I hope we can suck it up for a few days so we can see our son.  Splitting time is not fun!  We'll see if we survive.        You KNOW we need an excuse to go shopping!
Ok.. I've been thinking about your situation.  When you get to the airport.. might your ex hear your new name as your checking in?  It really is pretty funny! Sounds like something I would do... well the not telling him part; not the sharing a ride, plane, rent a car!
I need to get mine booked this weekend (payday).  Where did you find your best deal?  I'll start there.
Whoo hooo!  I purchased my hotel, airline and car last week. 555.76 from CA for all three. Not so bad.
My ex and I both received long letters from our son.  I guess you all will too!  He wrote them this past Sunday and we got them Tuesday...

Mine got there August 16th.

Got my first real letter today!!!  So for Division 340 if you haven't already rec'd it be checking those mailboxes!!  He is doing well just very tired.  The food is good but makes him very gassy (which truly is nothing new.  LOL)  HUGS to you all!!

Susan
