Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi- anyone who can answer this, and their husband is at/or completed Frac... Did the Navy pay for your move Frac... If not, and you moved yourself, will they still give you BAH for the state he will be doing Frac in? Thanks in advance... I've been looking for a concrete answer on this, and no ones been able to answer.. =)

Thanks for asking this!  I am not sure about this either.  I have heard that your BAH changes when you move to FRAC.  But I don't know if that is true.  I have heard mix things about paying for the move as well.  Hopefully someone will know!
I hope we get an answer soon! I have heard about a million different things, I just want it verified! I stress over the smallest of things... Haha
Oh and about the BAH we didnt start getting it for jax until after he got back from Sere so we had to go two months without it then it kicked in. But if its your perminate comand then you should get it immediatly. Oh and make sure you are on his orders to move. I wasnt on my husbands even tho I lived in pensacola the whole time he was there.
If you wasn't on his orders, how did they move yall? Sorry, I'm just trying to ask every possible question I can think of... Lol. I tried messaging you, but I'm on my phone and it won't let me. Did they fix his orders so you were on there, and when did yall get the s00$ to move? When did he graduate a school?
See thats the thing I didnt understand was they knew I was there the whole time I was even on his LES as a spouse, so idk. It worked out in the end somehow.We got the 400 before we moved like a day or two, we have been here four months and just got reembursed from moving and it was about 3000. So that was nice we just had to wait.
were you from Pensacola though? Or did you move here while he was in school?
So did the navy actually have people come in and pack your stuff and ship it to Jax or did you pay for it?
Yes the navy moving people came in our house and packed everything. But it was a horrible experience. the workers were old and lazy and used our bathroom. I dont recommend it.
Does anyone know how the testing works if a student doesn't pass a skill. Are they graded on if the skill comes naturally or is this something the navy tries to develope? How willing are the instructors on helping candidates or are the instructors there to just weed them out? Seems like the learning curve is very short,show you once, test and get it right or your out. Can anyone shed some light on the process? 
If a student doesn't pass the test the first time, they get another chance to re-test, usually the next day. If they fail again, they are rolled to the next training class. If they fail the same procedure again in the next class, they are usually dropped from RSS. I don't know if an instructor would actually help/give advice one on one. My husband hasn't had any trouble, except for one test that was a "stupid" mistake, so to speak. So, I wouldn't know what to say on that part. It's really just a big weeding out process to be honest, but it isn't an impossible program.
