For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I've heard that the drill hall is pretty cold. The other thing to think about is how it will look when you stand next to him for pictures. As long as you think it will look good standing next to him in uniform, and you are prepared for the cold room, then wear whatever you think will make him happy. If you don't think it is acceptable for the actual graduation, maybe wear it Saturday if you will be able to spend the day with him or meet him at the airport before he flies out. Or you could change after graduation before you go out to dinner or whatever you are planning so you can still get the wow factor out of him. =) Hope this helps!

We women have worn 3" heels to WOW our guys, I'd say if you know you'll make him beam with pride - wear it! Don't worry what others will think, be concerned with what HE thinks. He's work very hard to become the best - why not look your best? This is just the opinion of a 40-something lady :-) Anita 02/944

This is my thought process -- He's been in a group with a bunch of stinky, dirty men for 8 weeks. He would probably really like to see something completely different from what he has seen/been around for 8 weeks. Hence, I am going to go with a dress, heels (with flip flops in my purse to wear beforehand), and sweet smelling perfume. I am going to be the antithesis of bootcamp :o)

I have no idea what to wear. I am not really a dress person so I was thinking capri's and a nice shirt. Anyone else?
I agree you should wear what you want and feel comfortable in. If it was my boyfriend/husband I would want that wow factor.

Wear what makes you comfortable. There will be people dressed from shorts, to suits and everything in between.

My daughter has already said she expects her mom to be wearing a "PROUD NAVY MOM" shirt and I'm not going to disappoint her. If my SR was my husband or bf, I'd go all out and look stunning for him. I'd throw on the dog, cat, kitchen sink (you get the idea) and would try to take his breath away (let alone when I gave him 8 weeks of hugs and kisses).

My family all agreed that we're all going to wear the t-shirts with the division flag, and dressier jeans; she will get a kick out of it and see that that day "is all about her and her accomplishment"! (I agree, if I were a young woman coming to see my Sailor, I'd dress to the 9's!)
