For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Phone Calls
I was wondering if any one has gotten any phone calls?? My son is on ship 07 dvision 307 and he has only called once. I realize no news is good news but I really miss talking to him. We have gotten a few letters also but hearing his voice would be awesome!! Please let me know : (.

I just got a call yesterday. My son is in division 303. This was the first call I have gotten since the initial "I made it to Great Lakes". He missed his opportunity when everyone else called because he was on watch. We should all be hearing from our kids the week after next to tell us they are Sailors! (Except the ones on watch!)

Div 306 just got to call yesterday so maybe today will be your day? There also the chance that it's there turn to stand watch when the div gets to call. In that case, I have heard that most RDCs will let them have a makeup call within a week or so but it's totally dependent on the RDC and the behavior of the group and sometimes the individual. Hope you get a call soon!!

my son is in 7/307 as well, and on ship staff, so I havent recd a call at all. Many letters, and he seems to be doing very well, excited about PIR and moving on to A school, but no phone calls as of yet. I would LOVE to hear his voice. We are from GA. and he misses the "sounds of the south" as he calls it.
