Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

It usually works better if you have your SR set it up with a buddy rather than you trying to find one, but I hope it works out for you. Have you read the Page, How Many Guests Can Attend PIR?? Some find that people they thought had to be on the access list don't have to be--under age 13, active duty military, retired military, and veterans do not have to be on the access list to be admitted.

Thank you. We have asked him in a letter to see if anyone has an extra spot. I just figured this might be a place to try and find one also. Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, we have already taken into consideration the exceptions. My youngest is 7 so he doesn't need to be on the list. Not including him, we have 5 people going. :-/ Praying all works out. I'll be there either way, would just love to have peace of mind when flying from FL, that I'll get to witness the ceremony.

Just received my form letter today. My SR Ship 09 Div 338. We are so excited to get this today. By the way what is a Brother Division? Sorry This is all new to us.

Brother Divisions share the same ship and have the same training schedule and will have PIR together. They interact with each other during training.
We chose to have the Divisions represented by Brother Divisions so there are fewer Discussions to have to go through and also so that people will have more people to interact with since some Divisions only have a few people on here. Brother Divisions share RDCs and since the training schedule is the same for the two Divisions, it makes sense to do that.

My SR is Ship 09 DIV 337. I can't wait to get a real letter, I want to know more about this Push Program. I have already sent him 4 letters. Hopefully they will get their chance to write home this coming Sunday.

ok Div 337 and 338 we need to be more active, on here I hope to hear from all of you and any info any of you have we are now living in Salt Lake City we moved here 2 years ago from Seattle my oldest is the one that flew the coup and I am only going slightly crazy

Hang in there prouddad! We're in Atlanta and our SR is our 2nd child and oldest son. It is fascinating how each child has a different "heartprint" and I confess I've called our youngest son David (our SR) more than once this week! I even did it while talking to one of his sisters a few hours ago. They understand he is foremost in my thoughts right now as we ramp up the "mail machine". I'm excited and proud for all of our SRs, and have been told several times recently that the PIR ceremony is absolutely amazing.
