I heard one SR isn't graduating because he could not pass swim test.

I believe all that made it to battle stations passed. The call was so short that I wasn't able to find out much except he passed and where we will try to meet up after graduation. I'm sorry about the phone call, I know I'm with you and anticipating this call. Hoping for an hour to talk and only getting a few minutes was tough. I'm sure if he had had the time he would've called you too. Unfortunately, it was taken away because of the actions of a few inconsiderate recruits. I know things have been rough on them for a while - since so many failed the second test. If you haven't heard anything, then I'm sure he indeed passed, or you would've been called. Hang in there, it will get much better from here as they go onto there chosen A schools and have the freedom to call and write more frequently :D

Amy

Thanks ladies for all of your encouraging words.  Yes, I am sure he passed.  This is all he has talked about for the past 2 years.  I certainly hope nothing and no body would have stood in his way.  Not to mention, he is wanting to get back in touch with the outside world more than anything.  LOL  I am keeping my hopes up, that no news is good news.  I will see him in a few days.  And I will be able to tell him then just how proud I am of him.  If these few little "screw-ups" only knew just what damage they can do to someone by their actions....UGH!  But I am sure my SR would have called if he had been given more time.  I am just glad the gf called to let me know something.  Thanks again ladies.  You all and this site has been such a huge support!
Congrats to all the SRs of 285. Got the first call but could not hear. Luckily he called back and said he passed. He sounded so tired. Still had trouble hearing him but it was great. See you all next week.
We got our call also and he sounded exhausted!!  Can't wait until Thursday.
Is everyone taking the shuttle to graduation from the motel or by car?
Does anyone know if the SRs can leave with their families or do we have to pick them up somewhere?

We were going to use a taxi, because it sounds really easy that way. But we really have to watch our dollars now, so we are going to drive ourselves.

I asked my son if he could leave immediately with us and he said he could...so hopefully that's correct : )

A friend of mine that she had a taxi take her the long way and it was a large bill. She recommended driving or taking a shuttle from the hote if one was available although it is a little walk from where they drop you off.

Only 5 more hours until we reach Great Lakes, Il. I hope everyone's having a safe, easy trip to PIR. It's actually here ladies!! :)

Yep excited, except we have a 9 1/2 hour drive!

Hello

Just got to GL can't wait to see my Sailor tomorrow =)
