My daughter got the 1st short letter yesterday!, she did let us read it, sounds like he only had minutes to write, but he said he is busy, so not much time to be too sad:) and to send pics, nothin else, wallet size, oh yea and he loves and misses me so much, tear.... But I sure feel better now that I've heard from him(div/339)

Yea!!  I didn't know we can send pics!   Can you tell from mine above that I was on a crying jag?  Worst day of my life!

He looks very sweet, and looks. Alot like you, maybe there will be a letter tomorrow, I haven't gotten a call, but I. Really. Think no news is good news!, although. I can't wait for that "I'm a sailor. Call!"
Ok my daughter-in-law just received two more letters from my son, and he said that he only received one letter from his grandpa and none from her or me - she has written him like 15 - could they be withholding his mail and why?  He keeps telling her he wants to hear from her and she is so upset that he hasn't received her letters.
Yea my SR said he has the mail they haven't let him have them yet, they check the letters too iguess he insinuated that they will get to have them eventually, but he said pics only for now till hard stuff is over?
That is so sad lol
I wonder if our SR has gotten our mail.  Understandable to check it first, but didn't realize they withhold it.  I just hope he gets it soon! His brother and I are both missing him a lot. His brother is 7 and having a hard time understanding!
They make them earn their letters (at least the first few weeks).  I don't know when they get them all, but I want to know what happens if he doesn't get the one in time that I sent asking him to add someone to the graduation list!  He has until one week before to finalize and submit the attendee list to the security people.  I sent him a letter last week and don't know if he got it.
I need to know too, his grandma wants to go
I feel the same way. I got my first letter last week from my son in Ship 07, and he thinks I havent written him at all yet. I sent him like five letters and he didnt know I sent one at all. :(
My son is also on Ship 7/Div 340.  He has only rec'd a few of my letters and I write everyday.  He said in his letter he was sad because he wasnt getting much. What div is you son?
Did get a letter from my SR today, I told him to put grandma on list, since his 11 yr old bro, doesn't count towards the 4, and he told me in the letter today he will change it, telling ya cause he had obviously read my letter cause I put only one pic in and he said why only one pic:(, well then I knew what letter he got for sure! Lol
