Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son leaves on Tuesday at 10am...I am an emotional mess.. He told me i am emotional enough for everyone lol.
I was wondering if anyone can give the number of guests allowed to attend graduation?
Then i hope i can figure out where the answers from the post are!!! lol
Any input would be so appreciated and i hope to find a couple moms who i can correspond with regularly. My son is going to Great Lakes for boot camp.
I love reading the posts on here it makes me feel like I'm not "going crazy" :) so thanks !!!!

My son is at the hotel waiting to go to MEPS tomorrow morning. And then he goes to Great Lakes, which I believe is the only BC for the Navy. After that it is to Goose Creek, South Carolina for training. Check out the group Nuke Moms. Lots of info there too.

welcome! this site has been a blessing to me also. My daughter is in week 4. Received first "real" letter today.
My SR left on Mon. Received Box on THurs. & form letter on Sat. There are a few lines on the bottom of form letter where SR can write a couple of lines. I must of read that a hundred times! LOL If you have any questions.... ask away! The veteran moms are wonderful.
