Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi, my son in 331, how's everybody!

Hi - my son is in Ship09/Div 331 also!  Can't wait to see him on 10/7 and am looking forward to the first real letter!!!!

 

Hi, Karen, me too hope to get his letter real soon, I have sent him a boat load already, I sent them on friday the 19th, hopefully he will get them soon, is this your first son who is in the Navy? Good luck to your son, I wish them all well and the best!!!!!
Hi Gina, this is my first experience with any military.  My oldest son is married and lives in AZ - we are in Michigan.  From looking at your earlier posts, this is your second son in the Navy, right?  I'm so looking forward to PIR!!!!!  Where are you from?  My youngest starts college the day after Labor Day (our only daughter) - too many changes in a short time!!!!!
Hi Karen, I only have one son, and my fiancé has two boys, his boys are in college, we are from California. My son will be twenty next week, I feel kinda sad, he will not be with us on his birthday, but we sent him birthday card, hopefully that will put a smile on his face. We are too looking forward to PIR!!!!! We are looking at maybe driving which will take us about three days,and doing some site seeing in the different states we will be going through,and making it a mini vacation, if not then flying. We are looking into both. It will also depends on work. Good luck to your daughter too! Gina

Hello Karen our son ship 9 div 332 is having his 18th birthday this month. Our family just had a reunion and we had the whole family sign his card wich will be in the mail today. We cant wait for PIR our room and flight are set with a rental car reserved.

 

My Son is in the same - wonder if they know one another. My son's name is Vincent. It won't be long now til PIR.  I'm so excited. My son has his 19th b-day the week of PIR. The 2nd.  Wow.  He left a boy and I suspect I'll be greeting a Man when I see him.

Hi Everyone, my daughter is in Ship 09 Div 332! So glad I can now send all those letters that were piling up! Hope everyone is doing well.

Hello!  My son David is also in Ship 09 Div 332!  So happy to finally get that letter and send out his mail!  We're from Green Bay, Wisconsin.  Our son will be going to Pensacola after BC for aviation armament training. 

We're hanging in there - good days and bad days, but we're so proud!

We're from Salt Lake City, UT. My daughter will going to San Antonio for HM Hospital Corpsman.

I agree there are good days and bad days, but always proud of her!
