opps, I guess I meant PTA lol Me too! He seemed a little worried about it, but knew they would all pass. Seems like they've been able to pass alot of things without trouble, so I doubt this will be any different! (:
And yes, after tomorrow, it will be OUR turn to see our SR's!! So excited!!!!!!
Way to go Meg ! Thank you for sharing it was good to hear all the Divs up and downs . My son Max is in this Div and I really cant wait to see him thsi Friday .
Our older son goes in next month so its going to be interesting hearing it all from him . He will be going SWCC so totally different training to our young men .
Max is a corpsman and will be headed out in October his last letter told us . He siad how much it would mean if we were able to stay over the wkend ...wish that letter had come a day earlier than yesterday !! It was such a hassle working flights out for us and his best friend out of Boston and his twin sister out of Buffalo .ny i teuely didnt beleive you have to go via the moon to get to GL !!!
It will be good to put faces to names and meet all you other very proud and wonderful parents .
Travel safe everyone .
My son is from another Div but just wanted to tell you that I appreciated your posting. Sounds like my son...I just unpacked his suitcase from where he was living with his cousin in NC. It was neater than I thought except for the socks. Anyways, probably too much info. Thanks again.
Thanks Tylermom for all the great info. We haven't had a letter since he called last so it's nice to hear how they are doing. Hopefully my son isn't one who is getting them in trouble! I don't think so, but then again, he is rather messy. We live in the Chicago area, so hopefully we're going home for the day on Friday. Friends and family coming over. He did say in his last letter that he thought he would be leaving on Saturday. I hope not, but I'll take whatever time I can get with him. Can't believe it is actually our turn for PIR. I'm so proud of him and can't wait to watch 12/312 march proudly in.
Yes i wish we were closer too. But we did 8yrs in Buffalo , moved just outside Minneapolis and just 40 miles West of Boston ...thats why we are moving to South Carolina!!!
I wish it was Thursday already ....I wonder how they did in the Captains Cup on Saturday ?
Thats funny we live in Groton just past westford . Boys were junior and freshman in high school and twins max and jessica were in 5th grade ...huge difference here big struggle to settle just not Minnesota nice !!
Max said they were from all over the states which has been fun .I think he is looking forward to getting to A school so many of their friends went earlier like last year and this and for max it was just a waiting game to finish with high school . He has wanted to be in the Navy forever !
No they go tomorrow and Wednesday. My son wrote in his last letter that he would be calling on Wednesday. I am sure it is for their whole DIV, I think its the "I'm a sailor" call :)
