When we talked to our son last night we told him that he should know who Lydia's husband is.  Our son is Asian and is the Chaplains assistant.  He said he is feeling that the Division is coming together as a team.  He usually does not complain, and he also stated that you have to imagine jumping out of bed at about 5:45am with someone screaming and then if one of the guys groans or whatever everyone is to hit the tile floor and do 100 pushups or situps.  He has a great sense of humor and I hope your husband and him along with all the others on this Web become great friends.  He did laugh alot on the phone and I was proud when I heard him asking others if they had a phone card or if they needed to use his.  The team bonding is happening in 338!!!!!!!!!

That was me! lol I was telling him about this lovely blog and how its great because we all have been encouraging each other. lol thats awesome.

They have a new RDC who is giving them better instruction, apparently.
Yes, from what my SR said he likes him. says that get in a circle and do a prayer then someone says a word of wisdom. I thought that was very awesome.
Yes, our son stated that he was liked.  Stated that the other one quit, but not sure that he didn't just move to a new group coming in and that this is the way they teach every group.  I did not say that to my SR but the Navy knows what they are doing.
This was the first time I've heard of an RDC leaving a Division.  My Sailor said the RDC is held responsible if the Recruits fail, so if that many failed, then the RDC was catching it.
That seems to be what this Division needs to bring them together.  I am glad to hear that things seem to be improving for them.
I just got a call from my son! Geez, never thought I'd be so happy to hear from him. He said he sent a letter as well. Said everyone is sick and he thought the peanut butter shots lowered everyone's immune system. He said he's currently a section leader and that's interesting. Is finding it to be not quite as much fun as he anticipated. Said lots of running and lots of IT. He says there's still quite a bit of fighting going on between SR's. Had about 20 minutes before he got yelled at to get off the phone. Said he was last in line, so probably no more calls now.
So glad you got your call!  What a relief.  :-)
that's so great! I'm glad you got a call!!!!
Very happy for you!  I'll bet you'll be equally surprised when his letter arrives!  My SR was the classic, "I'll call when I have something to say" type who, of course would never call!  Today he couldn't stop talking - talk about the changes they go through ;)
Haha yeah when my husband left he said, "I only want a letter a week, and I'll only call/write if I have to." He called today and wouldn't put down the phone. By the end he was crying. Gotta love it.
