Have you received your form letter yet? Chances are your son's PIR date is 10/28/2011. If it is, please join the following group:

PIR: October 28, 2011

Secondly, looking at your page, I see you joined Navy For Moms earlier. There are three comments posted on your page with very useful information. Click MY PAGE on the above menu bar to go to your personal page. You should do this every time you log on. You don't want to miss messages other members have left for you or friends requests.

Good luck.

Thank you. No I haven't received a form letter yet. I did receive 'the box' on Friday. I will look at my inbox, thanks.
When do you find out a general idea of a graduation date?
Actually, unless he's in a Push Division, it will more likely be 11/04/2011--but it could be the week before or after depending on how fast the division forms.  You will know the PIR date for sure when you get the form letter.  You may be able to make a good guess (often accurate) if you get the address from the Recruiter with the Division number.
Can I ask about the form letter?  I got his box Friday, and I know he cant call for 3 weeks.  But I have never heard about a form letter?  Who sends it & when?  Thanks!
My husband left sept 7. Haven't had any mail yet have you ?
Not yet but I did get the box. I'm under the impression that we may not get a call or mail for three wks. What have you heard?

I still haven't gotten the box. From what I hear three weeks is the mark for letters and calls. I am hoping to get the form letter soon! So I can start booking airfare. Also since he is my husband and we have a child I should be getting a packet so we can get military ID's and I have no idea when that will come either.

For those of you interested in starting the group for PIR 11/04/2011, click on GROUPS tab on menubar and click +ADD. Just be sure you DON'T include your ship and division number on the INTERNET ADDRESS of the group. We want a group for all ships/divisions with a PIR of 11/04/2011. Discussions within the groups will be started for each division.

Suggested NAME of group:   PIR: November 4, 2011

Suggested INTERNET ADDRESS of group:  http://www.navyformoms/group/pir-11-04-2011

lemonelephant is the master of all this - just follow her instructions. :)

Good luck to all. BQB

Thank you so much for the info. I will start a group.

Did you start a group?

I would like to join...

My son shipped out Sept 6th and I received his form letter yesterday.  It said his PIR is 10/28/11
