OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

We got the form letter today. My boyfriend is in Ship 12 Div 356.
I'm so glad to hear from you! I was beginning to think I was the only one!! ;)
logged in to the site from my computer...excited to join the 12/356 family! Hope you are all doing well...
I posted the discussion board for the Meet and Greet Thursday, October 27, 2011, I really hope to have the opportunity to meet our 12/356 family then.
I arrive at O'Hare for 12/356 PIR on Thursday the 27th at 6:45 pm if anyone wants to split cab fare.  I have spoken with Sarge's Taxi 847-212-0246 and the fee is approx $50. I have booked into the Navy Lodge.  No big deal either way, thought I would throw the offer out there.
We got the form letter today.  Justin is doing his "A" school in Pensacola Florida so I know that he isn't a grad n go.  He is in the Aviation/Avionics Tech program , but there appears to be 3 different areas of study he can focus on and he will be on a ship not a sub.  We shall see!

My son is also going to Pensacola for A school, same program!  Missing him SO much, cannot wait for PIR!!

I hope to make it to the Meet & Greet, but we haven't finalized our travel plans yet, so I'm not sure. Christopher will be heading to San Antonio for his corpsman A school.

"B" is also headed to San Antonio for Corpsman A school...I made the hotel reservations first at the Navy Lodge for $65 per night, car rental, and flights also confirmed. All are changeable. We arrive on Thursday morning, touring the base, and then doing the meet and greet that night, hopefully we will be able to get some sleep before the PIR Friday morning...

My son, Geoff, will be headed with yours to Corpsman A school in San Antonio.
Hello everyone! Our son is also in this group. We will be flying up from Ft Lauderdale. We are so excited. I will make my reservations here in the next day. I hope to meet everyone at the meet and greet.
Made our reservations today, we will fly in on 10/27 and we will stay at the Navy lodge. The Navy lodge gave us a full kitchen for $65/night, great rate and fully refundable. Southwest airlines also had great rates and will credit you back if for any reason if you don't use the tickets. I learned so much of this information from other moms here. We will tour the base Thursday and hopefully have the pleasure of meeting some of the other fine moms and families at the meet and greet on Thursday night.
I saw it was 43 degrees today, being from south Florida, I know my son will be adjusting to this cooler climate.
