Got another letter from my daughter today.   She is currently on light duty.  Very bad sore throat and cough.   I miss her.  Just wanted to hug and hold her.   I hate it when my children are sick and I can't help!   She is still liking BC very much.   Stated she is getting through PT.
PIR is getting closer and closer for this PIR group. I still can't believe September is half over, Here is just a heads up, I am working on the ribbons for your PIR group, I have several that I haven't received the payment for so if you ordered and forgot to send your payment please remember to do that :-) I will begin mailing ribbons for this PIR group in just a few days. If you have any questions at all  send me a message or a friend request. Thanks so much!!! Lala
I have been following this group but I am not real computer knowledgeable and I think I might have missed this.   Is it to late to order?   I am from Oregon and could send out a check if I now where to send one.   My daughter will think I don't love her if she doesn't get one.  She already thinks I am slacking in my writing. HeHe!!     Wants more mail.
lol, Lisa, no it is not too late. just click on my name and that will take you to my page. On the left side click on add as a friend and I will send you the info on what I need to make your ribbons as well as my address for sending your check. There is still time. If you mail your check tomorrow I will have it early in the week and will have your ribbons finished and in the mail within 24 hours after receiving your payment. Thanks, and let me know if you have any other questions. Also in case you need it my email address is: uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com
Hello Lala Ribbon Queen!  I also missed the discussion on the ribbons.  I just sent a friend request so I can get some more info from you.  Definitely interested!
I got your friend request and sent you all the info for placing an order. Thanks :-)
I sent you a friend request. please send me all the info on the ribbons. Is it too late to order

We are still getting regular letters from our son, in which he usually sounds upbeat and positive.  However, he must have the cold/sore throat that is hanging on and it's starting to get him down a bit...   Still, he talks about his 'brothers' and classes and of course PT.  I didn't expect we would get the number of letters we have received, but I do think he's missing home and family.  Hope all your recruits are well!

Hi joniB, my son too sound pretty good, although he had to get a tooth pulled out last week, so he was down on meds for 2 days and getting much needed sleep he said. But a lll and all prettey good, I average about 1 to 2 largesse a week. And he is counting the days to see family, I am am sure most of our recruits can hardly Waite to see family and familiar faces by now! I think I have chatted with you a couple of time, hope tp see you at The PIR meet and greet. Have a great weekend! Gin
I think our sons have found each other...  Jeff (my son) says his buddy says  his mom likes to stay informed.  ;)  We have tried to enlist all family members near and far to send in those cards and letters - to help him get over the down days.  I know the days when he doesn't have anything in mail call are sad days for him.  He's not a big talker - so I hope they are relying on each other also, to help get through some of their hardest days...
Hi JoniB, sorry for all the missed words, I am on the iPad, and the typing is a little different on this thing, I agree the more letters and cards the better, the days are counting down for all of us. Good luck to all our Sailors. Have a good day. Gina

My son mentioned a new friend of his, was "Gina's son", and I'm sure your son as well. Course there might be other Jeff's, but my son is Ship 9 Div 331.    They should all do well with Battle Stations, from what my son says his 'team mates' are awesome guys, and they have one anothers back.
