My fiance left Tuesday for basic and this is our first time away from each other this long with no communication. I cried the first and second day over everything and then today i was fine until i came home not seeing him here. I keep telling myself he will be back soon but i don't know how long i can tell myself that before I go crazy. My parents don't approve of him in the military so all i have are his parents but they can only help me so much. The rest is on me, I try and stay busy during the day to tire me out and keep me out of the house but my mind always goes back to him. And at night I lay down and think about him and what time it is for him and if he's thinking about me and when i will get his clothes and stuff because he told me there's something for me in the pocket. I'm trying to stay as calm and collected as i can but nobody understands what I'm going through here. I wrote him a letter last night and it helped me a lot I felt like i talked to him and told him the way i feel whether i send them to him or not it helped until I try and go to bed. This site has helped me a lot already I just miss him so much and i'm worried about him. I know its just basic and he's safe it will be worse on his first deployment. I can't stop thinking about him..

Thank you so much! :) I really do feel better after writing to him! and it's getting easier everyday! :)
My fiance left on the second of this month. I totally get what you are saying. I have had my moments but I am doing way better than I thought I would.  Honestly, God is my main source of comfort. My fiance and I are really close to God and I know that praying for Him, us and his family, is the only way to keep us all going. Writing does help, A LOT! Like you said, I feel as if I'm actually talking to him. I miss him so much. I haven't gotten a letter yet, but oh when I do, I can't imagine the excitment! :) I hope you are donig better.

I am doing much better! I'm figuring out what to do to occupy my time and keep busy! I got his stuff in his box today and was so excited to find a letter from him inside! Im waiting to read it for when im having a bad day amd need to hear from him but that small thing made me feel sooo much better! :))

it will get better, i promise.  my guy left on the 5th and those first couple days were awful.  like everyone says, keep writing, not only will it help you but him too!  i'm doing better but when i start to get down i just focus on how proud i am of him and how wonderful it is going to be when i see him again.  keep busy and work on yourself as individual just like he is doing and it will make your relationship even stronger. remember each day you spend away from each other is really another day closer to holding him again.  we're all in this together :)

Yes that helps me too i think about how long he waited to leave and how excited he was to leave and start his career and it makes it so much easier! Im looking at it from every angle and understanding how much this means to him and every day is a day closer to being with him!!! :))

my boyfriend left on sept 13 too.. which was also my birthday. worst birthday so far lol. i know EXACTLY what your going through. i cried so much the day he left, he said it broke his heart. sometimes i think it as at least he isn't gone forever, on deployment, or becoming a marine (because that's 3 months of boot camp!). but that doesn't make me feel any better. and what makes it worse is that his recruiters wont reply to me about his address so i can send my letters to him already!
It was our 11 month anniversary not a big deal but still kind of hit the spot. I didnt cry until we had to say good bye and he had to walk away which made it harder. it helps me to think hes in basic and he is safe and he is definitely coming home safe to me. One of my best friends is going through army bootcamp with her bf right now and she cant handle it and it breaks my heart but not every one has the kind of strength it takes to be a military spouse, gf, fiance, or mom. it takes a very special person but i am so proud of him it makes me happy to think he is starting his career and is finally happy with himself. and his recruiter said to ask him after the first week so im gonna call him next week. Writing him letter s every day helped me sooo much! I feel like im talking to him and since i got a good cry in and writing to him i can go on with my day and actually sleep at night!
lol when you get his address are you going to send priority mail? i'm tempted to lol. i want my letters to get to him quicklyy. i can't wait to find out his graduation date! i hope its earlier than expected.
I might by the time i get his address ill have like 10 letters to send to him! I cant wait to find out his graduation date! I got his box the other day and he wrote me a letter i have yet to read it until im really really missing him. I hope you are doing Good!
i hope you're doing good also! it's really comforting to know i'm not the only one who feels this way. all the other posts are about their loved ones leaving earlier than mine, and that makes me jealous cause that means they'll get back to them sooner. *sigh lol. & luckyy, i haven't gotten his box yet. maybe tomorrow!
Yess I was very very lucky. I didn't expect to get it that quickly! And yeah Im right there with you seeing posts about sept 1st and 12th and no one on the 13th :/ Your not the only one!
hey girll! i got his address today and i'm very happy to know that he will be graduating a week earlier than expected! yay. lol. i'm sure your fiance willl graduate on november 4 also!
