our son left from Des Moines IA

It will be interesting to see if they all end up in the same division!  Michael is going to be a Submariner and will be going to Groton, CT for his A school, what about yours?

with my last son, we had a meet and greet at the Ramada, even though they were in different divisions we all were very supportive of each other and our children. I probably will stay there again, even though their shuttle service didn't leave until 7, I am hoping not as many divisions graduate with this son as with my first son (13)  ..over 1000 grads and at least 4 family members ..talk about a packed house!
My son called a little after midnight to let me know he was there..Mine was a quick call too. He left out of Jacksonville FL. Have to make sure I send him warm wishes..cause he isn't use to that cold in Chicago! Look forward to meeting some new parents for PIR.
Our Florida boys are not used to 40 degree temps!  Wait until the wind off the lake kicks up and it feels like the middle of December!
I know...that is one thing I am not looking forward to when PIR comes around! Going to have to invest in a coat for myself when that time comes! We usually can make it through with a jacket!
Me too!  It's a good thing that they are starting to get winter clothes in stock!!
Mine left on sept 14 th as well

MY son is going to be a Diver. Anybody know where that school is?

Our son is going to be a diver too. From what I have read, they will stay in the Great Lakes area for 32 days, then down to Panama City for about 70 days. That will be great to have him in Florida. It will only be a 8 hour drive for us if he gets any time off on the weekends.
been a couple of days now...how are you holding up?
My son left on September 15 as well. We got a call that he had arrived about 0300 on the 16th.
