I got a letter today and my daughter is asking me to send her makeup and contacts for graduation, does anyone know if  this is allowed?   Can I send a package?
yes she can have those things for PIR but I would recommend using a manillia envelope. If you send a package she may not get it but if you send a envelope she will get it but will have to open it in front of an RTC to make sure there is no contraband.

Yes I sent my daughter her hair straightener and contacts it is just fine :)

eeekkkk got a phone call too. i love 334 RDCs!!!! my husbands doing magnificent :) and he sounded so amazing. ill wait an extra day for mail anyday for that short phone call. im so giddy right now.. oh happy day :))))))))

It's all good BobbieSue'sMom. Just want to keep our kiddos safe.  Thanks I can send a message to the group and it will be private:)
I got a call!!! The best 30 minutes a mom could ask for!!! She sounded sooooo good. She has now answered all the questions that she hasn't in letters. 2 weeks!!! I did have to yell at her so she'd stop crying so I wouldn't. Sounds like they are getting there as a division. Division keeps getting smaller though. Can't wait for that "I'm a Sailor" call.
Yea!!! Good news

Loved getting that phone call! I think that we're all happy Navy Moms tonight! Does anyone know if  they can wear their regular glasses for grad or do they have to wear navy issued glasses? And if they can, how should I send them?

Will anyone  have an extra seat available for PIR on Oct. 7th? We have a grandparent that would like to come. Thanks!

You CAN send them either their contacts or their regular glasses right before PIR - so next week would be a good time.  I am planning on putting my sons glasses in a case wrap in bubble wrap, and then in a padded envelope.  They will get an envelope, but not necessarily a box.  That way, the don't have to wear the 'gogs' as my son calls them.  If you are sending contacts, same idea, but include a small bottle of saline too.
