Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Division 947
This Discussion is for loved ones of Recruits in Division 947. Your Recruits will be training together, so perhaps you would like to get to know each other on here.
Since your Recruit is in a performing division, you may also want to join the Group, 900's division sailors. There will be information on there that relates to your situation.
Besides playing an instrument or singing, there are also Recruits/Sailors who will do color guard, carry state flags, act as escorts, do rifle guard--lots of important jobs. They are usually involved in the PIR before theirs and sometimes in the one 2 weeks before their own as well.
Here is a site I found that explains about 900 Divisions.

I don't get to leave until next Thursday! Over a week..... But I guess it will go fast. It is almost all I think about, but I don't tell the rest of the family that! haha

Ladies, I had sent my daughter one of the questionnaires just for fun, and got back her answers yesterday. Some of them are funny, thought I'd share:
She wants REAL food - cookies are mentioned numerous times
She was a long, hot shower, "normal" clothes, and to sleep for a whole day.
She writes letters on the floor; writing on the racks is a very bad thing and they can't use the tables, either.
She is very good at folding, sewing buttons and ironing - none of which she EVER did before boot camp!
We (her family and friends) are commonly referred to as "civilians" now.
She listed some funny RDC quotes, which I will not share here. If you're interested, I'll send you a private message. Specify if you are offended by language! :)

I'm jealous! Both my husband and i sent her questionarres and neither have been returned. I would love to hear some of the RDC quotes....I am not easily offended by language, my daughter is a SR. LOL

I would love quotes and I don't mind the language!!!! I remember how the RDC's were when I was in boot camp so that should give me a good laugh!
