Canton Trade Days is a big affair that happens on the last weekend before the first Monday of the month.

It will be the weekend of the 30th thru Oct 2nd..... if you have never been it is a BIG place to wander...there is also an area that they have pets...I don't go to that area because I want to take everything home! lol

Also for you that love fabrics...there are several places to find that too. She who has the most wins! lol

Just a joke left over from my mother...lol

Bring you walking shoes and a little drag cart to hold the things you might buy....there are plenty of food places to get everything you can imagine....parking varies from $3 to $5. If you want it you will probably find it and lots more...lol You might want to bring a bottle of water or you can get it there for $1

We need to plan on what day, time and where to meet so we can all wander around as a group.

Don't know what else to include.....It is a really fun time!

By all means do bring the hubbies....who is gonna carry all the stuff to the car? just jokin :)

Wow! It really amazes me at the difference between the length of the "A" schools for each different job! Congrats to him!  I know it will be hard to be away from his family and daughter, praise God for Skype! My son is happy that this first school is almost over, he is ready to get to the bigger stuff! Seems so strange that he still has another year plus of schooling!  I hope you can come to Canton! It will be so great to run into you again!

Good Thursday Morning Ladies,

Guess I will have to wait for another meet and greet.  It is Octoberfest weekend here in Fredericksburg on the 1st and we have friends that we were stationed with in Germany who want to come and visit that weekend so there goes my Canton trip.  Please keep me posted on the next meet and greet.  Hope everyone has a great time.

I will have to look at Cracker Barrell here....Sorry to hear you can not make it TxNavyMom.....sounds like you are going to have fun too.

We will have to plan another get together too...maybe a Christmas shopping expo in November.... :)

HI ALL;  I think I might like to go to CANTON too....  Esp if I can ride w/someone.  No hubs here ... so no guy tagging along.   It's also the day before my b/day; so I can see what I can buy myself....  Keep me posted on any news I may need to know.

Blue Star Mothers-Lone Star Chapter 6- DFW,Tx is on Facebook! Just spoke with Charla this morning and she gave me permission to post this event on their page!  I am very excited to join this group as they are organized for packing parties, blood drives, support, etc. for all of our kids/spouses!  Their website is:  http://dfwbluestarmoms.org/ if you don't do Facebook and this is where you will get most of the information!  So excited to meet them.  I have invited them to join us in Canton, so if you see someone in a different Military shirt... Say HOWDY and WELCOME!  Let's rally our support for all our TEXANS that are serving!

I can't make it! :-(((((   I really hope that SOME day I can meet you all!!!  Have fun and enjoy.. I STILL have the ceramic train I bought ther 20 YEARS ago!!

Here's a map!  Where do you suggest we meet Brenda??? I have never been to Canton, so I am totally clueless!

If you look at the map there is a place called the Atrium that is at the end of Arbors 1 & 2 and then we can go from there.

Peggy I think you are going to like it! Yeeeyaaa I'm excited to go and meet everybody!

I can give my # for those who have not been before...you can park across the street off of 19 and go down to the Atrium.

Good morning!  The weather is beautiful and looks like it will be for a trip to Canton!  I just found out that I won't be able to go, though!  We are having our bathrooms redone and the workers want to work on Saturday, so why would I say no?  and my husband is going to need to go to see his mom who is 97, so I will stay here with the workers!  Was looking forward to meeting everyone!  Cece
