Thank you to all of you for your support and prayers!!! Our SR made it in his retest for the run test today!!! I am one proud StepMama! He called his girlfriend to say, "I'm a sailor!" woo hoo!!!!! God is amazing!!
That is so awesome!!!  Congrats to your family!

just received the sailor call from my fiance so proud of him!!!! we talked for an hour and i cant wait to see him friday !

Got my phone call as well!  Very excited to see my son this Friday.  He actually had to call me back so he could go buy some soda, chips, and candy and he ate it during our second phone call--he sounded so good!
Got the I am a "sailor" call yesterday. So proud of my son & everyone else who made it !! can't wait to see them all on Friday.
We leave today for GL so excited to see my SR!  I also have to say that I am so thankful for everyone on N4M, it helped me see that I wasn't the only mom feeling the way I have.  With N4M and my daughter I have been able to not be a complete basket case through the last 7 weeks.  I have to keep telling myself he doesn't get to come home with us, but he get's to start the next part of a journey he has looked forward to.  It's kind of interesting I have run into a couple of his friends here at home one lost his job so is now looking and not planning on college and the other one is still looking for a job and might start at a community college in January he wasn't sure yet.  I felt bad for them like they were in limbo just waiting.  It's a great feeling to know that my SR has done exactly what he has planned to do and I am so proud of him!!

Exactly I see so many of my Sailor's friends and it is always the same story...well I am working part time or not working at all. I may start college in the fall or winter, not really sure though.

It is sad to see our youth in limbo, especially when there are not many options for them. I thank God that my girl lived a good clean life and was able to join the armed forces.

Waiting for our plane to chicago! So excited
