OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

This Discussion is for loved ones of Recruits in Division 947. Your Recruits will be training together, so perhaps you would like to get to know each other on here.

Since your Recruit is in a performing division, you may also want to join the Group, 900's division sailors. There will be information on there that relates to your situation.

Besides playing an instrument or singing, there are also Recruits/Sailors who will do color guard, carry state flags, act as escorts, do rifle guard--lots of important jobs. They are usually involved in the PIR before theirs and sometimes in the one 2 weeks before their own as well.

Here is a site I found that explains about 900 Divisions.

ready right now!

YAY!!!

No sleeping for me it seems.  Up since 2am Mountain Time so just working in order to keep focused on something other than not sleeping.  Amazing how much you can get done in the quiet hours when your mind is running full speed ahead!  Would love my phone call right now.  Phone is sitting right here - ring, please!   Then maybe it could be nap time?  We are starting out later today on our long drive.  Hope to see all of you at the Meet and Greet!

I want the phone to ring too!  Unfortunately I think it will be later this afternoon before it does, but I'm not budging from this house until I get that call!  Be safe on your drive, we head out tomorrow afternoon.

I feel like a 5 year old waiting for Christmas morning.

This may be a stupid question - but what time is PIR?

If it was on the form letter that was sent to my SR's Father and he never sent me a copy.

THanks!

PIR Starts at 9 am but you can start lining up at the gates at 6:30 I believe.

That is right.  You want to be heading to the RTC no later than 6:20 (6:00 is better) if you are driving or get on the Shuttle around 6:30-6:45 if you are taking one.

GRADUATION SCHEDULE may help you.

We have Sailors ladies!!
Yay!

We Got our Sailor call today...... packing for the trip to RTC.HHHooooorah.

I have a SAILOR!!!! And I am almost there!!! Exhausted but happy!!!!
