Jamie Kaye...  I did not mean that in a bad way.....I am glad we all "talk" to each other!   I think I "talk" on N4M more than most, mainly because it helps me feel closer to my SR and all of you and your SRs!  I cannot wait to read the posts from others and how our men our doing!
Oh i didn't mean it as a bad way either!  I feel communication is the best medicine.  I love this site and I've joined a few support groups on facebook, which are helping a lot as well :)
my SR told me about the cheez it incident as well....those damn cheez its, who would have thought i would be doing pushups for cheez its lol. 19 days!!!
Just got a call; he said they earned an extra one for doing well on a test.  I'll put a little of the info he gave me on here in case you got different stuff from your SR.  I only get the big picture when I combine what he tells me with what your guys tell you.  He said they have earned 3 flags so far but I didn't write down what they were for.  He said they have a drill inspection next week.  He said they did firearms this week and he got sharpshooter.  He passed his PT test and swimming tests; said Marlinspike was over and went well also.  I guess all that's left now is Battlestations.  He said the RDC's are wanting them to focus on studying now so the end is definately near!  He only got to talk for about 15 minutes since he wasn't sure how much time they had and he wanted to call my mother also.  She's not in good health and really needs that call!  Hope you all got your calls too!
SR sounded good!! Said he got a call for doing well on the live fire test. He scored marksman and will have a ribbon on his uniform. Said some in div earned sharp shooter but no one earned expert. Said he still has cold. He wrote but did get letters mailed will mail this week. Said div was pumped bout the Wacky Wed pic and asked for several copies for those SR with no Internet or FB to send home. Love that boy for thinking of his friends. Said div is doing good earned 3 flags sorry didn't have paper to write them down. Said has test coming up nxt week. Forgot to ask about physical fitness test. Ugh. He did get to tak to his two brothers which was so exciting for him and them. Hope all of you get calls!! Share details if you feel comfortable. Thanks everyone for supporting me bout the no mail this week. Feel so better knowing he is ok.
Thats so wonderful he got a ribbion!!
We got a call, too! He said that coming up this week was a big test in their drilling. The big thing about this one is if they do well, they can march to places on their own without an RDC present. He said the group is great. Some for whom the Navy was 'not a good fit' have moved on. He said they have won flags in everything except drilling so he really hopes they do well. He flies out at 2:00 am Saturday morning after PIR and he really wants to get his electronics at the airport. It is a beautiful day and he wishes they could have a barbecue and play some volleyball! Oh, and he is counting down days now.....

Congrats to you and your SR on the sharp shooter skill!!  Glad to know he passed PT and swimming, AWESOME!  Will be praying for their drill inspection and test next week.  19 more days till we see our boys!!  Hope your mom enjoyed the call and that she is in better health soon.  (HUGS)

She was thrilled with the call.  Unfortunately, I don't think her health is going to get any better.  My SR is her favorite grandchild, even though you aren ot really supposed to have one.  It will be good for her to be able to talk to him regularly once they can have phones.

I am so proud of the entire division.  From what he says, they are really being a team and working well together.  I can't wait to see them in 18 days!

Got a call from my SR today also.  It was so good to here from him.  I could tell he had a cold though.  He said he was in siq for 2 days because he ended up with 102 temp..  Missed live fire, but gets to make it up.  Other than being sick he said he's having "fun"!!!  Just glad he's feeling better and able to continue with training as planned.  Counting down the days until we can see each other again. :)
Got a call also, said they got 3 flags, academic, inspection and athletic.  Said everyone got along good in the division.  He said their division is doing really well!!  So happy he sounded so good.  Also said Marlinspike went well..I asked him about the cheezit incident and he was like, wait, how do you  know about that.  He happened to be sick that day so didn't have to participate in the IT for it...He was excited about getting their picture taken for facebook, wanted to make sure I saw it.
I asked mine about the cheezit thing too...3 hours of IT for that.  At least yours didn't have to participate.  He said though that at least he is getting paid to work out!  Thanks for the flag info, that was the first thing he told me and I couldn't remember what they were for,  Since one is athletic, maybe they will do well in Captain's Cup!
