So I move to Kings Bay in 3 days! I am beyond excited to see my husband again, but it is all getting so overwhelming! To make matters worse, I just talked to my husband and the Navy is no longer going to pay for me to move! We got married after he already had his orders so they are saying I am not their responsibility right now! If they had just told us this from the beginning it wouldn't be so bad so I could plan accordingly, but to tell us 3 days before the move! Now I have to fit all my stuff into a rental minivan, which my mother is going to have to drive down there and back home because I am under 25! I will just be so happy when everything is over with and I am back in my husband's arms!

Oh my gosh! What are you going to do then? Why did he wait so long? lol

Wow that is crazy! Well I hope everything works out for you!

I hope it all works out, do let us know how it went.

So he put in for a move not knowing you were on his orders?  Yikes.  Please help other young ladies wondering about when to marry by telling them your story (when you're no longer stressed about it).  The information is out there, we just have to get it to the engaged couples!

Yeah at first we figured they wouldn't move me, back when we were talking about me moving in December. But then when they forced me to move early, they said they would be paying so we got excited. Then they changed their minds at the last minute. My husband had to go to Navy Marine Corps Relief for a loan and put in a request chit for advance pay just to get enough money to move me down there! I am suppose to leave Friday and we don't even know if the money will be in on time! I know it will all work out, it usually does, it is just very stressful in the meantime!
ummmm....how did they "force" you to move.
Idk...I don't understand it...but they cut my medical in CT so I am only covered in GA and they took our money away until I get down there.

All your husband has to do is go to Tricare to fix your medical.  Also they can't "take" your money away from you.

Sounds like your husband needs to go to PSD to get that fixed.

They cut the BAH because the pay in CT is almost double that of GA and they say they won't pay for BAH in CT. So they didn't cut his pay, they just cut our BAH. My husband has been talking to PSD and they are the ones telling him all this.
Random question....can you request to be moved without an exact address that you will be living?
How long before the movers show up after you request them?

Uggg as if the situation wasn't already bad enough, it just got worse!!! So my mom and I went to enterprise to reserve the minivan. We wanted to rent it in her name with her as the driver, but I would pay for it. Well apparently they won't do that! The purchase has to be made in the name of whoever the vehicle is being rented to, but my mom doesn't have a debit or credit card! So now we are screwed, no way to get a rental! I have no idea what I am going to do now. The rental company is trying to get a hold of their higher ups, and I am trying to get a hold of the Chiefs to see if they can talk to them but I have no idea what else to do! I am freaking out, I have to leave Friday but I have no way to get there now! Uggg I hate how everything has to be so complicated!

Did you try U-Haul?  They rent to 18 and over.....
