Is there anyone with a SR in this ship/div? I've looked through several pages of posts and can't find anyone listing this specific ship/div. It would be nice to chat with others with an SR in the same division as my son.

Help please!

I missed the call at home, but he called his dads cell and talked to him, I believe it was on 9/26. Have you gotten letters from ur SR?

If they don't get held back I have to make flight arrangements for my husband because he will be in Colorado the week of gradution. I was gonna do it this past week until I got his letter. Now I am just waiting to get a letter with more info I hope.

4my corpsman - My son had told me that they were getting a better - but I'm not sure how much. Some SRs got seperated from the division (being gone from the Navy, maybe they just couldn't hack it. I'm not sure about that)  but also they changed intructors also. So hopefully as much as they are getting yelled at these instructors are motivational (per my SR).  I really had a feeling that he'd call today - but once again I set myself up for disappointment.  Hope they at least wrote us today. the bummer with tmrw being a holiday my mail is usually thurs from GL and now it will be Fri.

I'll be keeping them all in my prayers that they will not hold the group back.  My son did write that he just thought it was a scare tactic.

I hope so, coz I will have to make husbands flight arrangements soon. Forgot about the holiday tomarrow, maybe we will get a call then. Keeping them in my prayers.

Two weeks from today I will be on the road to GL for our SRs - PIR 10/28 we have a 16 hour ride - Can't wait and nervous now that our son had also mentioned the threat of the group being held back - any updates from your SRs - Im' sending prayers for all of them to get it together - and my son who sounded so disheartened in his letter - so thought I'd be getting a phone call this weekend - and nothing - Please send your prayers, light, love and letters for encouragement and faith.

I hate this helpless feeling - they really need us mom's there to straigthen out their a** - LOL  :)

good day ladies.

Haven't heard anything yet from my SR. I'm hoping for a letter tomorrow. The last one came on Wednesday or Thursday. I figure with the holiday and no mail on Monday that day, that I'll get one on Thursday. I can't wait either to see my SR. I feel so helpless as well, not knowing what is going on is driving me nuts.

I haven't heard from my SR yet this week either. I'm hoping to have a letter today also since the holiday on Monday. I didn't receice any phone call either so like they say "No news is good news" so hopefully we will be hugging our SR's on the 28th. I have the same feeling of helplessness too. Take Care and God Bless

Got a phone call from my SR!!! YEA!!!!!! I am still on cloud 9. Everything is going much better and he sounded great. I really can't wait until the 28th, he sounds different more grown up I guess. Hope everyone else got a call also. God Bless our SR's
I got a phone call too!!! Also a letter! You are right, my son sounded so grown up. He said every thing was going good and they were gearing up for Graduation. They still have to pass battle stations and if even one of them starts to argue the whole group will fail. I pray that doesn't happen. I found out I didn't get a phone call last time when everyone else did because he was being fitted for his dress blues. I can't wait to see him!!! He said he's lost more weight but still has like 5 lbs to go. I'm counting down the days... 2 weeks from today I leave for Chicago!!

My stepson is in the division also. We have had several letters about the lack of respect that some of the SRs have. We have also heard that some of the Chiefs are really hard on the kids.I know that they are trying to toughen the kids up, but sometimes as a mom I worry that maybe they take it too far. We have had a few phone calls and letters  weekly, which is great.Someof our son's letters are discouraging, but the phone calls are not. This is the hardest time in BC, for most of the kids they have never been away from home this long. I miss him dearly and can't wait to see him in two weeks. Keep the kids in our prayers. And I look forward to seeing some of the other parents.

Spoke w/my son ystdy for a good 40 minutes and there is 100% improvement in his voice and attitude - they are finally jelling and working better to get it together - Yes a few get yelled at but it is motivational and they need to keep them in line - yes, they are so close.  Happy to hear that they won 4 flags and passed MarlinSpikes - they are looking forward to Captain's Cup on Saturday and the BattleStations on Tuesday - Double up on your prayers for them - as we await that "I'm a Sailor Call"  :)

We are driving out to GL and staying at the Navy Lodge - I would hope to get to the meet and greet but all depends on our travel.  We leave Wens am for a 16 hr drive ;(  it will be the longest drive of my life with the anticipation of finally seeing my son ;)  take care.

I'm driving as well, but only have about 6.5 hr drive instead of the 16 that you have. Hope to meet you all there as well. Drive safe and keep the guys in your prayers!

HAVE FUN and
