By the way, its nice to meet you all. My son is also in Ship 12 Div 004.

Hello, I want to tell you hang in there  your letter may be coming. We actually just got two today. We live about 3 hours away so we figured it wouldn't take too long to get to us. So if you live farther away yours may be coming. I haven't been able to see what he said yet since my daughter has class tonight I had to swear we would open them together when she got home. That won't be until 9 tonight, but it is so good just to have them. I no longer feel like he has vanished. I actually told him in my letter I sent yesterday that I felt like I was writing to a ghost. All I can say is keep writing and watching your mail.

Don't forget we are all in this together and I'm glad to chat with you on here. The more families I meet on here with their SR's in the same group the more I feel like we are family.

Im so excited for you. It makes me want to hurry home faster after work to check the mail!!
Well be sure to let us know how he is doing. We are in Florida by the way.
Thanks so much for the encouragement.
I didnt get a letter yet :-( so i keep checking to hear if yours was good news. I sure hope they are all doing ok. (crossing fingers)
I live in FL too (tampa bay area) and i got 2 letters today! I was so happy that i was crying before i even opened them :)
Yay for everyone, I hope it was all good news. My SR's letter was good. I sensed he was doing well and it was written the way I would expect to hear from him which made me feel good. It just had a good vibe about it. Only bad thing was he was having all 4 wisdom teeth out this morning, so that's gotta hurt! But he did say he would be in bed for 2 days, maybe some rest will be good?!  He said time was going fast and he hoped it was for us. He did say he knows we've written but they haven't been given any mail as of yet. We have sent about 15 letters or more so when he gets them he probably won't have time to read them all. :) Hopefully they get them soon and we get to hear from him by phone.

I got a letter too!! And yes I cried too. Sounds like they are doing great. He even said that the food was good. He said he is doing allot of studying every night too. I was so happy to hear from him.

Doesnt it feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders??

I sure hope they dont ship out to A school saturday morning. We scheduled the whole weekend just incase we are able to spend more than PIR day with him.

I am so happy for your letter. And your right just getting that letter is a lifted weight.  We also are hoping for the weekend with our SR, especially his wife! :) We are getting so excited for PIR and it seems to be going faster now that we've heard from him.  We signed to go to the meet and greet and hope to meet some of you there. Its all getting better ladies. Have a wonderful weekend.

Yayyyyyy for all of us. Sounds like our division is all on the same page. My letter was beautiful and I can't stop reading it over and over again. Everything is good with the exception of the wisdom teeth so must be our groups turn for extractions. Poor babies. As you all said "the weight has been lifted"! God is great.
In the letter i got he said he was a section leader and he's made a bunch of friends but he's homesick and time is going by very slow. They spend a lot of time studying, they dont go outside very often, and that PT is like middle school gym class. He said some kids in the division were screwing up so they held all their mail the first week ( thats why we each got 2 letters) i hope theyre pulling together as a team! Im wishing them the best :)

Sounds like the letter we got. I'm with you they need to get it together so we can get the call!!! lol

aschalk, our SR is going to Groton, CT but I think his recruiter told us he was going to have to do sub school before he went to A school. Not sure if you know about that or not. He is going to do the submarine thing.  But will they know ahead of time when they are leaving to let us know? I don't want to stick around  if he's not going to be there.

My SR's next stop is Groton too!  Hopefully they will get to know each other so that they do not have to go into the next phase alone.

No letters yet, hoping for one tomorrow...
