We were at the October 7 PIR. We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Waukegan. Very reasonably priced. There was a shuttle to and from graduation that was only $3 per person each way. Well worth the price! We did not have to worry about the traffic going into the gate. No stress and a great visit with our sailor.

My daughter left Oct 4th. Just got the form letter yesterday she Graduates Dec 2nd she is in division 903.Counting the day's till Thanksgiving to see her.

My daughter left to MEPS on Oct. 4th but flew to BC on the 5th...is that what your daughter did too? And where did she fly from?
My daughter went on a bus from St Louis. Have you gotten a letter yet?
No, but I did receive his clothing the other day. How long after your daughter left did you receive the letter and did it come from her or her officer?
Your SR sends the form letter.
You should receive the letter within a week of him leaving. It is a form letter but he will be able to write a personal note on it. If you don't receive it he may not have been placed in a unit yet. I hope you get it soon, it really helps soothe your nerves.
Join the group, PIR 12/02/2011. There is a Discussion on there for that Ship/Division.

Since your Recruit is in a performing division, you may also want to join the Group, 900's division sailors. There will be information on there that relates to your situation. Here is a site I found that explains about 900 Divisions. The Requirements for the Navy RTC 900 Division

My son left Oct 6 also, been crying most of the time. I received the form letter today. I feel so much better. he said the food is good and he only got yelled at three times and it wasn't bad. I think tonight i will sleep without crying. so yes it does get better. It does help to stay busy ......good luck. Stay proud. God Bless.
I received my son's form letter yesterday too. He is in ship 9 DIV 016, what DIV is your son in? I am glad you are feeling better. Things for me has gotten better and your right keeping yourself busy does help.....good luck to you as well.
My son is also in ship 9 Div 016. He called today to get some information he needed but at least i got to hear his voice.
Those all business calls are hard because you want to know things and yet they have to stick to the script and get what they need and get off.  At least you know all is well.
