Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Hi!! Welcome!! My daughter left 10/6. This place is amazing!!! It does get easier but I don't know if I would have made it without N4M. So much good information here. Very wise ladies.

My daughter also left today. It was nice to spend the morning with wer at MEPs and I felt so much pride (and tears) when she swore in. She is our youngest, so comming home to an empty house was strange, but she was so excited to go.

Hey y'all!
Our son also left today. We thought we would go to the airport but we didn't know what time his flight would actually go, so we left MEPS at 10:15 AM as he went into a couple meetings. He just texted his Dad & said we made the right choice cause he flew out at 2PM & we have to have our daughter to the airport close to home cause she flies back to Florida. WHEW! It's been a crazy couple of days! Hope maybe some of your kids will be with mine! He's very excited too. Been waiting since last Spring.

I am sure this is on here somewhere but all the groups & forums are a little overwhelming. We just got our 1st call-yea! We don't know his address yet. Is there a certain time when we will & how soon can I write? Thank you very much!

Hi MzSnapCup, I know exactly what your saying "sad for you , excited for him" ....that is what I have been saying since he made this decision. I really know in my heart they are doing a great thing and will grow so so much from this decision , but wow it's going to be a tough couple of months . I really am trying to make a conscious effort to look at the positive and the blessings that will come from this.
I wish you well and your son too - Congratulations on having a son who has such confidence to make such a grown up decision !!!

Thanks Kim. He got to call me yesterday for a few minutes. He had just had some kind of security clearance interview and called me to get some information for him. So I have a homework list to work on. He did say that he would have time to write on Sunday. Today I mailed my first letter to him and included an extra book of stamps. I told him he could share some with anyone else that may need stamps too.
Oh! A note about the phone call. I would not have known it was him calling except that I read on here somewhere that the Great Lakes area code is 847 and that's what shown up my caller id.
