My daughter told me that she will have to have her wisdom teeth pulled. I am wondering since she will be in ( sick quarters) for 2 days will that set her PIR date back?

Thank you

No, it is routine.
This happens to many many recruits.  It shouldn't set her back.
thank you both for replying back. I feel so bad for her that she has to have them removed. I did not realize they would do that, but it puts my mind at ease that it will not set her date back.

My son will also have to have his out. I'm just hoping he doesn't get 'dry socket' like I did when I had mine out.

It is very routine. My son PIRed on september and was lucky not to have it done. Although many in his division did. No set backs since they aren't out for long and it is still close to the beginning.
My daughter had three wisdom teeth removed and a filling, she was SIQ sick in quarters for two days, she gas remained on schedule. I know how you feel. Your daughter will be just fine.
Thank you Marcia, I am missing her so much and worried about her, but I know she is a strong young lady and she will get through this.
Your right you daughter will be fine and she us blessed to have a caring mom. Have a blessed day.
It is routine however my daughter is now scheduled for her second surgery. The first was to break her jaw to repair damage and the second will be brain surgery to try to repair the damage. She had her wisdom teeth done there and her nerve leading to her brain was cut. This is not to scare anyone but just to worn that this can happen. Long story but my daughter is being medical discharged for this. If anyone would like to know more just friend me.
My son was scheduled for his 4 wisdom teeth to be taken out last January which he had done then. His recruiter kept telling me "just wait and let the Navy do it" following my gut we had it done last winter and I am soooooo glad we did. He had a really rough couple days. I am sure now he is glad he didn't have to deal with that at GL.

My son needs his wisdom teeth out.  The recruiter told him to wait until boot camp.
