No letter today....they must be super busy!
Wow...thank you for giving us that information! I didn't get a letter again today...really makes me worried. His best friend received a letter on Saturday which was postmarked for 10/20 as well so he might have used his time to write him. I want him to talk to his friends, but I'm so jealous! lol
I'm really curious to know how everyone did on Marlinspike, inspections and PFA. My SR has not been feeling well, so I'm worried about his ability to pass the PFA. I wonder, is that something we would be notified about if they fail?
I appreciate the update...it makes me feel a little closer to him.
As soon as I posted that note, I got a letter! The mailman was running late today apparently. Doesn't he know how important mail is? lol
My SR said a lot of the same things yours did...they all loved Marlinspike! He was a little worried about the Nuke test he had to take, but would have found out today if he was still in the program or if he would have to choose another job. He seemed to be in pretty good spirits...so that is a relief. Although, he has been sick for the past couple of weeks so not sure how the PFA went.
He mentioned being able to earn more phone calls, but was dependent on how they did on inspections.
Woohoo! Who knew a few written words could make us so happy?
It seems like they are getting more into the real things now not just learning to pass inspections, do jobs, learn the system of boot camp. I would also love to hear how the inspections are going. My SR says they are trying to make the hall of fame for having high marks on their inspections (4.7-5.0 I think). I wonder how they are doing. I bet they all love the weapons training- nothing like a boy and his guns. My 2 yr old has his "shoots" (water guns). I wish I could convey to my son how much I want in details. It is pretty sad to be waiting by the mailbox when the mailman comes (flashbacks to college). Keep the news sharing going! Proud of our Navy guys! (and gals too)
