So I need to start planning my boyfriends christmas gift. Since he is deployed it will take awhile to get there, and i need the time to plan it all out.

So, my ideal plan is to create a "12 days of christmas" poem that goes along with the crafty cute gifts i get him...problem is i can barely rhyme and i dont know what to gettt :/

Anyone interested in helpinggg, PLEASE!

in the care package group on here someone posted one last year.
My mom does this for my Grandma who lives in Nebraska. She doesn't do a poem, but she marks on each package "Do not Open until December 23" and so on. She only send little things that are really a necessity or very small items (shipping costs are outrageous!!). Socks, a new robe, some cute costume jewelry. A few years back she actually got all of the grandkids/great grandkids involved (there are more than 30 of us) and we each picked a day & gift to give her on that day. She got to open a package everyday in December leading up til Christmas. Maybe your boyfirends friends and family might want to get involved in your gift giving. If you just want to keep it only from you, then I would choose small items that don't weigh very much. Good Luck!

Thank you so much all of you! Im still not sure what I'm going to do yettt. if im going to keep the original song and find things to equal what it talks about or just make something completely up.

Keep the ideas coming!!! (;

My hubby will be gone for Christmas! I am planning on doing Cake in a Jar, an ornament like you would do in grade school ya know something cheap so if it gets crushed in his locker it doesnt get too messed up lol but he can still see it everyday. Right now Vistaprint is having a bunch of stuff on sale you could look into getting some stuff done with pics of you guys I think they have a calendar or something for free! just pay shipping!

If you havent dont the cakes in a jar, they turn out great! I sent my boyfriend some for his bday so he could have a little birthday party with his friends. I also heard brownies are good also, but they were kept in something tin...?

If you making the cakes for christmas there are adorable ways to dress them up.

Thanks for the advice!

also if you make cookies or other baked goods not in a jar putting a piece of bread in the package helps keep them fresh longer and using freezer bags instead of regular ones!

I am gonna try to attempt Angel Food Cake in a jar... its his favorite! lol and I would love for him to get some for our anniversary... we will have to see tho :)
