Good morning everyone. It seems everything I tried posting last night was a no go. I am up & at 'em again this AM on my laptop. haha. My son left with ArNavyMom, and they both are HM's and will A school in San Antonio. I could not be more proud of the decision that he has made. It is really interesting to see my sons- even to this day. They are polar opposites, but like the same thing?? example- one wore blue, the other red.. both love animals, but one loves insects and the other water animals ( sea in particular) One is Marine and One in Navy. hahaha They are each other's best friend and worst enemy and now they are not just brothers but "brother's in arms" WOW!
Hoping for my form letter today- or God help my hubby. Like it was his fault it did not come yesterday- or the day before! Trying to be less obcessed this time around, but not sure I am pulling it off. I do not worry so much about my SR like I did my oldest, but he is "my baby" after all and none of it is easy.
Have a great day everyone!!!
Momshousedivided2 - YOU ARE SUCH ENCOURAGER and all of us on here need that. You are somewhat of a veteran since having one already go thru the channels of a boot camp.
Hey, we live too close not to have coffee, my new friend! I was in Rogers yesterday (my parents live in Prairie Creek). I had some work to do at the walmarts and neighborhood markets then I walked a few flea markets. Found the perfect side table for my deck. I'm not a "crafter" but love new-with-old. You have my number. When you are ready give me a shout.
I am wondering what they do for Christmas there? And will they go right to A school after? I am new to all this please explain, not looking forward to missing her for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Thank you for the info, I am looking forward to knowing a bit more though... It is my daughter who is enlisted.
"Recruits graduating Thursday, Dec. 29 will have the option of taking leave and go home before going to A School. From home, they will need to report to their next command for A School by Jan. 8.
We will post more details regarding this tomorrow."
that was straigt from the RTC FAcebook admins page
Morning everyone. We also gave him the option for college. After the year our football team had... really bad feeling there... the availability for the scholarship to play was not gonna happen, he chose to do what had been tugging at his heart for a really long time. He really thought it out and made a sound decision. I am very proud of the maturity he showed in weighing in all the options and making an intelligent and informed decision. It is not easy knowing that he will not be around the house or within easy access. For the next few years at least I know my other son (Marine- stationed @ Ft. Meade, MD working for NSA) can be accessable. Just where our SR will be is anybody's guess. I think the unknown is the really hard part for us parents.
These sites are such a blessing- keep talking and informing with what you know or find out. It strengthens our FAMILY! Welcome new family! Blessings to all!
