OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I sent a private message to you. We are already friends. Thanks!

Will it be alright if I friend you as well?  I'm totally in the dark. What little I know is thanks to all of you:)

yes, feel free to send a friend request!

pb check your Inbox! :)

Thank you!

Got three letters in the mail yesterday! Zack sent each of us one! :-) One for his Dad, Brother and me :-) He said that they only get to write on Sunday :-( and that they will be graduating in their khakis. Something about loss of contract with the company that makes the dress blues? Today I saw on RTC'S Facebook, some got the "I am a Sailor" call. Congrats!!!! Hope I get one soon!!!!

guys our div is running battlestations right now, people are getting "i am a sailor" calls according to RTC's fb! SO NERVOUS omg!

I'm nervous too!!! What if we don't get a call??

Do not fret!! Apparently the whole division passed, according to someone on the RTC facebook. :). My scumbag mother (I say scumbag cuz she KNOWS im waiting for this call!!!) called me from a blocked number and I went, "HELLO!?" and she says, "Oh s**t, I'm sorry. I forgot you were waiting for your call." .......woman gave me a heart attack.

So does that mean you haven't gotten your phone call yet?? It breaks my heart to think that he's tried and I wasn't here for him.

nope, not yet! Only 4 people reported on RTC's page of getting calls, so I'm not worried. :)

Okay...I'll try to calm down then. I'm such a worry wart, and my SR has had a few setback and I'm constantly worry that something with screw up at the last second and he won't PIR. Let me know as soon as you hear something, please!
