DID THEY SHUTTLE TO PIR

We stayed at the Ramada for PIR 5/13/11.  It is where they hold the Meet and Greet.  The hotel was ok.  NO Elevators.  The main reason we chose them was to support them for having the meet and greet, however, our flight was delayed and we missed it.  It does have a shuttle for PIR and that was nice.  the driver knew exactly where to go, and was easy to find after PIR.  The continental breakfast was ok, if you can eat carbs :)  they had bagels, english muffins, mini muffins, donuts and 3 kids of cereal (cocoa puffs, fruit loops, and raisin bran), and instant oatmeal.  there were apples, oranges and bananas.  they had 3 make-your-own-waffle stations.  they have a machine that dispenses juices.  They did have hard-cooked eggs.  On Friday morning, they start the continental breakfast at 5:30, so you can eat before PIR.

SO WHATS THE MEET AND GREET AND WHATS THE RATES??

There have been many negative reviews of the Ramada Inn lately; it used to be a mix of good and bad, but now there appears to be many more negatives.  As far as the Meet and Greet, they have been doing that the longest, but Sarge has the best one going at this time.  He does a presentation and gives a LOT of great info.  You can get a handout at the Ramada Inn M&G.  I have not been to that Ramada Inn or either M&G, so this info is strictly based on the MANY statements I have seen on the site.

Shoot, I just made my reservations for there. I can still cancel, maybe I will. Where is Sarge's meet and greet?

Thanks for the info. We're going Navy all the way - staying at the Navy Lodge.

Navy Lodge,  were is it, how much,& phone# please

WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE THIS ONE? ??? ? ? ? IM IN NEED OF HOTEL FOR PIR

Thank you !!!!
We stayed at the Spring Hill Suites in Waukegan over the 4th of July.  It is a newer hotel and is amazing.  Not sure if they have a shuttle or not...but there service was great, rooms were awesome and clean and really really comfy beds and pillows!  Very nice outside deck with patio / chairs and fireplace.  Great place to hang out and relax.  The contintental breakfast was really good.  they even let us check out late since we knew we would get back late from a charter fishing tour.  There is a Buffalo Wild Wings and Walmart right there at Fountain Square.  The hotel is a little over 5 miles away from the base so took like 5 minutes.  highly recommend!!  Google it and you will find it under the Mariott chain, it is located on Fountain Square Waukegan.  if you have any questions about it, message me.
We stayed at the Springhill Suites this past weekend for my son's PIR.  Fantastic Hotel. Accessible to everything.  Hotel Manager Brad was more than courteous.  We were there for 3 days.  They do not have a shuttle but very close to the Base.  We used Sarge's Transportation at 847-212-0246.  I concur with Justin's mom.  Dennys is down the street, Fashion Bug, Walmart, Dunkin Donuts. Six Flags is very close.  We stay there again without hesitation.

Thank you this help so much.
