I am looking to connect with other Moms who son's or daughter's may be in the same division as my son Sean. I miss him sooo much right now. I know the first week was all processing and that Boot camp actually starts on Monday for him. He looked so sad as he left on the bus. I know he will be okay, he is a really strong kid. I am just a typical worrying Mom.

Oh my gosh - that could have been a disaster!  that is my fear - that our recruiter gave us the wrong ship/div!  and WHERE IS MY FORM LETTER???

Are you sure Ship 5?  I thought that was medical and temporary hold for departing sailors?  I could be wrong - don't want to worry you.  I would wait for your form letter.

I am freaking out. I just found that out on the other navy site. I dont know what is going on.

dont freak out just yet!  From what I have read, recruiters are notorious for giving the wrong addy!  Just wait for the Form letter.  That will be the accurate address.  :)

My son left on this day too from Missouri.  I received a box with his clothes in it, but have not received a letter or information on where to write him at.  I'm hoping I get this very soon .. I miss him very much!

FReaking out here. No way to call the recruiter again until tomorrow. If something was wrong why didnt they say anything. I am going to be so upset if they scared me for nothing.

Pancakehollow- No news may be good news. Wait for the form letter. Sorry you are going through this. HUGS

I'm sure he gave you the wrong info.  They would call if something was wrong.  I heard one of the moms got a call their SR was on bedrest because their wisdom teeth were pulled.  If they called for that, I'm sure they would call you for something even more eventful.

Your form letter should be here any day now

Hang in there pancakehollow. I am sure if something was wrong they would call. If I were in your shoes I would be freaking to. Take care and we will be waiting for an update.

Thank you so much everyone. The recruiters office hasnt opened up yet. I have been dying to get in touch with them. I hope they answer the phone soon. You are wonderful people. Thanks for the support! I will post as soon as I hear what the heck is going on.

Hello all,

Sadly my son is coming home with a medical discharge. I am learning as I go. all I know is that sadly he is seperating. You are all great people and I wish you the best for your kids. Mine wont return for 10 to 20 business days. It will be the longest wait since I know he is not well. Now I have to prepare for him coming back and the sadness he must feel.

God Bless guys

Beth

Beth- So , so sorry. It will be an adjustment for him coming home. Some things can't be avoided and I only hope that it is something he can get a medical waver for. Hugs to you. There is a group that may also help you :http://www.navyformoms.com/group/safeharbor, but It seems I ran across another group last week and I can't find it and it has to do with medical discharges. Maybe someone else knows that has been on this forum longer then me. Hang in there. It must be difficult not knowing exactly what is going on.
